this literally just happened to me, they were pressed about a ~50 minute commute one way and said it was "unsustainable" ... my current commute is 45 minutes one way. ive been at that job for almost 5 years. it's been fine.

@KirbysCreeper they’re not saying the quiet part out loud: they want you to be available at a moment’s notice and can’t use the weather as an excuse to not come in. some have even started “offering” to pick their employees up in certain weather events

not to mention most anything relevant to my field is gonna put me at a 40+ minute commute like. should I go fuck myself then just bc i live kinda out in the country?
