@BrianRoemmele My brother wants to be buried inside a Kiss Casket. Still remember him returning from a Kiss concert in 1978 (Birmingham, Alabama.). He raved about the music…and said The SHOWMANSHIP was never to be surpassed.

In 1976 prime time TV America was not ready for KISS. This is what it looked like. Few have tried to surpass this showmanship in modern music.

Russell here. At 8:00 p.m. I will make the post tonight that was the first post Robert ever made about Joan. It would be perfect to put that up tonight before the book goes on sale at midnight. Incidentally Brenda made a post a while ago requesting some help and we did receive it and we thank you now. Please keep in mind that when the book goes on sale tonight at midnight Eastern standard Time however if you live for example in California like Colleen @ColleenZickgraf or Nancy @nancyjane74 in Washington you don't have to wait till midnight because it will be available your time at 9:00. Cindy @peacejoylovePJL in Texas along with Maryann @maryannwrites and Marsha @FieryDeltaTexan in Texas also at 11:00. Rose in Chicago 10:00 Rosemary @RosemaryPStagg in Calgary 9:00. Tammy @@justme in Indiana 11:00. Anne @AnnieOakley2015 in Colorado 10:00 and Bobbi @bmikiel2 also in Colorado. Robert is so much better than me at remembering where you all live. That's because he always threatens to hunt you down if he doesn't get his way. Haha

A short recap of what we did over the last two weeks. Our route was Boston to Savannah, GA, down the coast and then back up to Clemson: - Swam in a lot of lakes in Pennsylvania because of the heatwave - Watched a pie eating contest in Virginia - Celebrated 4th of July in Washington DC - Relaxed at the beaches in Delaware - Saw wild horses in Chincoteague, VA - Went to the Outer Banks in North Carolina - Had a baby bear block our road in North Carolina - Tried many new fast food chains like Bojangles and Sonic - Ate a lot (probably too much) at Taco Bell - Played minigolf in Myrtle Beach - Visited beautiful cities like Charleston and Savannah - Saw an alligator and a lot more cool wildlife

Thank you. I haven't been able to talk to him yet because he's just not staying awake according to Brenda for more than 2 minutes at a time. I hope to God I got to talk to him tomorrow so I can tell him that it's his book release day. I know when he comes out of anesthesia he is very confused but of course most people are but all this medication isn't helping.

Brenda here. Russell and I will always be honest with you. Robert is in ICU. Please do not interpret this to mean anything worse than it is. He is not in critical condition. After everything that happened today they are monitoring him very cautiously and this is the best place for him now. Russell has given you the updates because I am discovering I am not as near as strong as I thought I was. But I didn't run from any of it. This hit me on so many levels and I told Russell do you realize every time he has had surgery I've never been there. I always go afterwards. And none of us were with him when he had brain surgery because nobody was allowed in the hospital other than the patients back in 2020. You all have been praying and we know it and God answers prayers. I did get to see Robert for just a couple of moments and I'm not going to be less than upfront with you I vomited once I got to a restroom. My heart broke. He is in so much pain. I don't think however that he fully realized that I was there. I talked to Russell and he told me about a few messages where two people had still not been able to figure out the link to the GoFundMe. I don't guess they understand what we mean by the profile page and that would be easy to misunderstand. Russell told me how to get it posted here but we want everybody to know at this point with the contributions over the last couple of days the home health care we believe will be taken care of. I think a little over 200 more came in and I think it's around 9600 right now the last time I looked. Another person said just to keep the gofundme posted because more needs will come in but Robert has insisted to only request when the need comes in. He has said that all along. So do not feel the need to contribute right now but at the same time obviously we don't know what all will be coming his way. Russell had planned on arriving here Friday the day before Robert's birthday but he has decided he will arrive Wednesday. I have never looked more forward to seeing my husband. I'm getting ready to start driving so I will not be able to respond for a while. Russell and I thank you always for understanding. And the amount of you that are promoting the book is over the top. You guys have answered the call! 👍 ❤️ gofund.me/7fe30c3ec

@CaptKennie This is so true! Went to dinner at a very wealthy couple’s home. They served “a traditional Vermont meal.”(as they called it.). I stood up to help clear the dinner dishes & the hostess briskly stopped me. “Oh, the dogs will clear our plates.” Haha. My husband’s face dropped.

I went to visit a friend recently, who very kindly made me a cheese, ham and pickle sandwich. After I finished I noticed the plate had a faint but quite interesting pattern, so I commented on it and asked what it was. I got an unexpected response. “Oh, that’s a Japanese Willow pattern, but the years of feeding the cats and dogs from it have made it barely perceptible”.

@RHughesPhD76721 It is unfathomable that this has happened to him. You are right, it could happen to any of us. Thank you for the update. Glad to hear he’s becoming “more comfortable”. Sending lots of love to Robert, Brenda, Jared and you.❤️ Continued prayers.

Russell here. There have been a lot of new followers lately. First I want everyone to know that Robert is on a steady string of pain medication and also he was given a transfusion yesterday. He is still in ICU but he is becoming more comfortable and I actually feel like an ass saying that. Later today I am going to post something he wrote that started everything with his new book. It will be the post he originally made and it's worth reading it again and I will put that up. I am so proud of something Robert has done when I think many people would not have done this. As a psychologist he had a stellar career and made great income. Some of you who are new here don't realize how he lost his insurance. He was comatose for a little over three months and while on life support he did not make his insurance premium and the computer marked him as non-compliant and the insurance dropped him. This is insanity at its best because they could have reinstated him but they elected not to and their belief was he was almost dead anyhow. Robert has told the story a hundred times and when he teaches of what happened to him it is to enlighten everyone that this could happen to you. It can happen to somebody who thinks they are secure financially. Look at this bill. He has demonstrated this bill to many people to prove a point about the “medical community's immorality.” People are always surprised when he shows them this. He allows them to sit and discuss it in their level of surprise and then he says look again. And the people look at the bill and he said every time he has done this only one person noticed something and nobody else noticed it until he pointed it out. The number is so overwhelming that it prevents people from noticing this is the minimum payment due! $39,000 is one payment and was due immediately. His bill and I have seen it was over $1 million dollars. This was a total that includes what they call chargemaster rates that I never heard of until Robert explained it all. This will explain to you why he has had financial hardship. He has raised an immense amount of awareness of how this can happen and this is what we must remember when we vote. Who is speaking in their campaign platforms about healthcare? We have to pay attention. And don't forget the beautiful post that he made for the first time he spoke about Joan. And then at midnight is the big moment. By the way Brenda arrived moments ago back at the hospital. We should know more later.

🪦 Small, simple, classy – exactly the way she would have wanted it. 💔 My mom passed away two weeks ago, and my brother and I had a small burial ceremony this past weekend at her family plot in Indiana. It was perfect! 📣 My brief comments revolved around John 15:13. It is a verse primarily about Christ’s sacrificial service for us. 🇺🇲 We often use this verse during patriotic holidays to refer to the sacrificial service of those who gave it all for our great nation. That’s appropriate. 💥 But I also see it as an appropriate verse to remind us of the power of others who have sacrificially served us, and my mom is at the top of that list in my life. Our response should be: ✅ To love such people. ✅ To appreciate such people. 🔥 But, it also comes with a responsibility to live lives worthy of such people, and their service and sacrifice for us. ‼️ I am committed to that responsibility! I love you Mom ❤️ @MelonieTeichert #sacrifice #service #responsibility #worthy #beingworthy

@johnkonrad My father was a USAFA fighter pilot of F100’s. I believe my Mother and Father were exposed to toxins at George AFB in 1960 bc they both died from brain related illnesses not genetic to their family histories. F100’s carried nuclear weapons.

What’s one conspiracy you can’t prove but you’re convinced is true? I’ve been married to the daughter of an NYPD cop for 22 years. She drives like she’s late to a five-alarm fire after eye surgery and often drives cross country “just for fun”… yet somehow has never gotten a single ticket or been in an accident. Not even a dent from a shopping cart. I’m convinced there’s a secret handshake for traffic stops and a body shop reserved exclusively for cops’ daughters.

In Alabama a man said "Roll Tide" to me as a greeting. Later that same day, the same man said "Roll Tide" as a goodbye. I asked a woman at the store what it means. She said, "Roll Tide." I asked what it means. She said, "It means Roll Tide, sugar." So I began collecting evidence. I kept a list. I am not embarrassed about the list. I have now heard "Roll Tide" used as: hello. Goodbye. Thank you. I am sorry. Congratulations. That is unfortunate. I agree. I disagree. And once, in a hardware store, as a complete set of instructions for installing a ceiling fan. I heard it said at a funeral. It was appropriate. It was the most appropriate thing anyone said that day. I began using it. Carefully at first, the way a man handles a borrowed sword. I said it to a cashier. She said it back. I said it to a police officer who had stopped me for a broken taillight. He looked at me for a long moment. He looked at my face. He looked at my taillight. Then he said it back, and nodded once, and did not write the ticket. I wish to be extremely clear that I am not claiming those two events are related. I am also not claiming they are unrelated. A man at a gas station heard my accent and asked where I was from. I told him Japan. He said, "Roll Tide." He meant welcome. I knew he meant welcome. There was no ambiguity at all. I have been in Alabama eleven days. I have one word. It has been enough for everything. I have started saying it in other states. It does not work in other states. I said it in a warehouse store in Oregon. One man turned around. He was from Alabama. He said it back. We did not speak after that. We did not have to. I say it anyway.

Russell here I am blown away by this. I have to tell you and I need Cindy @peacejoylovePJL to tell me if I have all this right because evidently Robert spoke to you Thursday afternoon. Everybody knows Robert loves to bake and everybody that eats whatever he makes says nothing compares. He bakes all the time. As you know yesterday morning he had a medical appointment and now he is in a hotel and my wife is on her way there and he will have surgery Monday. It turns out that Thursday afternoon three of the kids from the youth group came to his home because a high school kid named Jimmy had reached out to Robert the day before asking him to make a cheesecake for the kid's grandmother for today Saturday. And Robert said he would but he would need help with putting out all the ingredients so he can mix them all up because he can't stand up. So Jimmy came over with two others. They made the cheesecake and Robert said come back around 10:00 on Friday morning before he would go to the doctor and they could get the cheesecake then and he would finish it by putting the fruit on top because you can't do that ahead of time and it has to sit in the refrigerator overnight to firm. Then he woke up at 6:30 in the morning because everything went silent because the power went out. He called Jimmy at 6:30 and said, “you got to get your ass out of bed and get over here right now and get this damn cheesecake before it melts.” I am cracking up. Robert was telling me this just a while ago when we were having a phone conversation. I said, “Robert is this the drugs talking,” and he said, “no it's me talking but your ass is you're going to need drugs when I rearrange your face.” So he sent me a picture to prove it. Jimmy showed up to his house at 7:00 in the morning and they put strawberries and bananas on the cheesecake and Jimmy's grandmother will have it this evening. I am amazed that he did this with the pain he has been in. But I'm not surprised. 😂 ❤️
