"We asked 48m voters, what would win the Red Wall back for Labour?" "You said... rejoin the EU, bring in digital ID, abolish jury trials, scrap North Sea oil, do nothing on immigration and appoint Gordon Brown." "If it's up there, I'll give you the money myself." #Starmergeddon

I welcome HMRC’s conclusion, which has cleared me of any wrongdoing. I have been exonerated by HMRC of the accusation that I deliberately sought to avoid tax. When purchasing a home of my own with a mortgage, I did not own any other property and had no personal financial interest in the court-instructed trust set up to manage my son’s financial award. I was advised by experts that I should pay stamp duty at the standard rate. I set out to pay the correct amount of tax. I took reasonable care and acted in good faith, based on the expert advice I received, and HMRC has accepted this. I have always sought to act with integrity, and I believe politicians should be held to high standards - that is why I resigned from government and cooperated fully with HMRC.  I wanted to ensure that I paid every penny that I owed, and have done so. I am relieved that my family can now move on - and that I can get on with my job.

🇫🇷 Christophe Dugarry does NOT HOLD BACK on Mason Greenwood for his recent performances at Marseille: 🗣️ "I appeal to your pride. This kid was sidelined from the team, he made a serious mistake before Marseille signed him, and the club took a risk by bringing him on board. He might never have played football again. Everyone did everything possible to put him in the best conditions... and he MOCKS EVERYONE, HE'S A WRETCH. You're the leader of this team, everyone depends on you. When you're not there, everyone misses you. And what do you offer in return, what do you offer after all the sacrifices—is this it? YOU'RE A MISERABLE WRETCH, GET OUT OF HERE. There's the money you're going to make the club earn, but nobody's going to shed a tear for you. What he did against Nantes is shameful. He doesn't care about anything, he has no defence, and he should be condemned, BURNT AT THE STAKE. It's an absolute disgrace, he's a miserable wretch." 🤬

🚨Breaking news: MPs are human and sometimes have a drink. Classic clickbait farming 👎 MPs work long days for constituents, and yes, sometimes share a drink in the evening with colleagues. Last week I was scandalously spotted with… an alcohol-free pint or two between votes 😱 But sure, let’s talk about that instead of the Greens’ wacky policies. Trying to distract us, maybe? 🙄

Reminds me of a scene in Dad's Army: Cpt Mainwaring: "They'll never break through the Maginot Line; it's impregnable." Sgt Wilson: "Haven't you heard, sir? The Germans have reached Holland." Mainwaring: "How on earth did they manage to do that?! I could have sworn they'd never break through the Maginot Line." Wilson: "They didn't. They went round the side." Mainwaring [exploding]: "That's a typical shabby Nazi trick!"

BREAKING! Something unusual is happening with the Galaxy S25 series. Do you see that red line? Around the 8th and 9th month after launch, sales go up instead of continuing to fall. That’s not normal. For Android flagships, the sales pattern is usually very clear: launch hype, a peak in the first two or three months, and then a steady decline until the next generation arrives. This has been true for most Galaxy S models in recent years, including the S22, S23, and S24. But the S25 is different. Looking at this 12-month sales chart, it does decline after the initial peak, but then shows a clear rebound around months 8 and 9. This kind of mid-to-late cycle recovery is extremely rare in the history of the Galaxy S series. So what does this mean? First, it’s unlikely to be driven by natural consumer upgrade behavior. Users don’t suddenly decide en masse to buy a Galaxy S25 eight or nine months after launch. This looks much more like a structural effect: aggressive pricing, carrier push, enterprise orders, or Samsung deliberately stepping in to extend the product’s lifecycle. Second, it suggests Samsung is actively changing how it manages its flagship sales cycle. The S25 doesn’t look like a phone designed to sell hard for three months and then fade away. It’s being treated as a year-long core product, which is much closer to Apple’s iPhone-style lifecycle strategy than the traditional fast-burn Android model. Of course, there’s another side to this. The fact that Samsung needs operational and pricing support to hold the curve also suggests that organic demand alone may not be enough to sustain long-term momentum. Still, within that context, this is one of the healthiest and most interesting sales curves the Galaxy S series has shown in years. At the very least, the S25 didn’t collapse in the second half the way the S22 and S23 did. That red line is worth a closer look.
