Ghostty was fun, but time for something else. I still love opencode, too but with CC plans dead on it… I’m feeling lost. Full GUI? T3 Code? Opencode GUI? Warp? Back to cursor? Try CC again? Raw Codex? My 🧠 hurts and I just need to keep shipping.

@peteystruggles @levelsio I’m well aware that it’s a stochastic system. I’m sure Anthropic has the ability to adjust performance characteristics based on business needs. Also, there are YouTubers who have run daily benchmarks and documented that Opus 4.6 performance has fallen since initial launch.

@peteystruggles @levelsio Th point is a week or two ago it would have done a web search, ingested some API docs, and continued working. The behavior I’m seeing now is a clear regression. That is not “very good behavior”.

@levelsio My best guess is that due to a massive increase in users they made a behavioral change that ultimately results in it consuming less tokens to ease demands on their systems. Hence less likely to take steps to solve problems that would require it to keep ingesting content.

@levelsio It’s gotten so much worse the past 2 weeks. It literally responded to an API question on Friday with “I don’t know” and I had to remind it that it is more than capable of searching the online docs.

BREAKING: Trump has said: Trump on Truth Social: Moments ago, at my direction, the United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East, and totally obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island. Our Weapons are the most powerful and sophisticated that the World has ever known but, for reasons of decency, I have chosen NOT to wipe out the Oil Infrastructure on the Island. However, should Iran, or anyone else, do anything to interfere with the Free and Safe Passage of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider this decision. During my First Term, and currently, I rebuilt our Military into the Most Lethal, Powerful, and Effective Force, by far, anywhere in the World. Iran has NO ability to defend anything that we want to attack — There is nothing they can do about it! Iran will NEVER have a nuclear weapon, nor will it have the ability to threaten the United States of America, the Middle East or, for that matter, the World! Iran’s Military, and all others involved with this Terrorist Regime, would be wise to lay down their arms, and save what’s left of their country, which isn’t much!

This is not true, I am told from well placed military sources. No US military assets have escorted any oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz as of yet, despite Energy Secretary Chris Wright’s claim to the contrary.

@markswisher @RobertLusetich @BillKristol @JenGriffinFNC Markets are starting to wake up to the realization they didnt think this through at all. Strategic reserves should have been filled. Additional funding for insurers should have been ready on day 0. They could have consulted with Ukrainians to enable a similar anti-drone system.

@FaithfulThomad @zerohedge The reason it’s in the Indian Ocean is because they’re wary of anti-ship ballistic missiles. Not exactly confidence inspiring for the shippers/tankers.

@FaithfulThomad @zerohedge It’s because the Navy isn’t actually escorting anything yet. From all available information the carrier strike groups isn’t even near the straight…it’s in the Indian Ocean.

@Geologo_Trader Honest question, are you spending less than 6 months each year in Argentina to avoid tax residency?

@theo Not having coding experience can make someone like a .75x coder now with AI tooling, if persistent. Having coding experience, especially generalist (e.g. full stack) can make someone effectively a 10x coder now.

@xtrqua @unusual_whales That was true up until about a year ago. I absolutely guarantee you it’s already changing rapidly for many/most industries, and that change is only going to keep accelerating and will eventually take a far bigger bite out of American jobs than India ever did.

@jamesdh @unusual_whales They absolutely are going to India, James. And the US corporations who sent the jobs there likely won’t be competitive 10 years from now. You can’t replace the deep domain knowledge and expertise with internal systems necessary to integrate AI into a major corporation

@xtrqua @unusual_whales lol you think they’re going to India? Not even close. They’re going to a $200/month Claude Code Max subscription. Right now Indian outsourcing firms are terrified of what they are seeing in the AI space, and increasingly, many Americans are too.

@unusual_whales It’s because white collar jobs are being outsourced to India and the Trump administration is doing nothing about it.

@buccocapital The barrier to using such SaaS products just went from hiring outside help and waiting weeks for it to get done, to now being effectively free if a company has anyone with any amount of technical know-how.

@buccocapital Re: the API integration thing, I think the best example of this is Salesforce which has an entire industry of people who just help companies integrate with them. Those people are cooked. Claude Code will do in 5 minutes what took them weeks before.
