By ears, Randall means his in-ear headphones that are critical for hearing the band on stage. He’s the drummer. He’s gotta keep time. He needs to hear!

He’s on a golf cart in a tunnel under Disney World, and they’re heading out to a big show that kicks off their tour. It’s Randall’s first tour with them since becoming their drummer. They’re minutes away from going out, and Randall suddenly realizes he’s forgotten his ears.

@Dcollier74 By a stroke of dumb luck, I got to be in the stadium when they retired Thomas’s Jersey. (They were playing NYY and I was there for that.) Dude was a legend.
