It feels pretty obvious at this point that someone’s going to make billions building a social app that’s just for friends, no AI slop, no brainrot, calm design, chronological feed and no concept of followers.

@evernote When you create a back link to an existing note on mobile, the linked note shows a reciprical backlink. But when you do the same on desktop the link to the note is formatted differently and the reciprival back link isnt displayed on the top of the note you linked to. Is this a future release for desktop (I'm running the latest version for mac) or is this a bug?

The very fact people get so vocal about Evernote pricing is the very reason they’re able to increase pricing. If the software didn’t fill a valuable need, people wouldn’t care enough to comment. 💯 feel your pain in this one. Tried all of them too. We use notion and google docs but latest release of Gemini 3 and the alpha integration (you need to enable to workspace settings) gives me hope that workspace and Gemini will make the other tools increasingly redundant in 2026.

I’ve now tried Coda, Notion, Monday, ClickUp, and Outline for our internal company documentation and I hate them all. Google Drive and Docs remain elite but lack organization. How is everyone handling this?

@dayone @zapier I have a specific journal in DayOne which is called “business” and things I write there I’d love to pass into notion (currently I copy paste). Because the business entries in DayOne are very useful context for use with notion Ai.

@importantclips @dayone @zapier I tend to agree but zapier is more than just automations. A better description would be connections. The connection does allow you to get more into the journal from other apps more easily.

@dayone @zapier The moment you automate it stops being real journaling in my opinion. Thank God must features are optional or can be turned off.

@MehtaCognition @frank_ @NotionHQ No is the simple answer. You could export files and import but you’d lose a lot of the DayOne structure. I’m always a long time DayOne user and notion user. I’d love an Ai layer across both.

@frank_ @NotionHQ Are you adding journals from another app or within Notion itself? I use Day One Journal currently. Can Notion import my notes and entries from apps like that? I’d love to see the same compounding effect but figuring out how to get there… would love it if you’re willing to share

wild. the more I add to @NotionHQ—journals, docs, notes, podcast transcripts—the more the dots connect. the compounding effect is real with Notion AI. in one shot it brought together what i’m working on, thinking about, and interested in. memory across context is powerful.

@josephmwood @NotePlanApp @obsdmd @craftdocs Yes agree its not perfect. I tried it but didnt end up using it. @reflectnotes probably do the best job of making this a central feature. Its so tricky for these note apps to be one size fits all. For me evernote is still top from a data capture standpoint.

@jamesketchell Wow, that is weird. It's sort of daily notes, but not really. I want daily notes as a core part. New note generated each day automatically with the date at the top. @NotePlanApp, @obsdmd, @craftdocs and others do this really well. This is such a bizarre way to do it.

Evernote is actually getting much better. Even though I've moved on, there's still a spot in my heart for Evernote. I used it exclusively for nearly a decade. But they still need -Daily Notes -Better backlinks -Backlinks show no context.
