All due respect to Mike Holmgren, but he does not deserve to get in the Hall of Fame before Tom Coughlin. Coughlin's got him beat in Super Bowl wins and total wins, and what he did in Jacksonville should not be overlooked.
Mike Sando@SandoNFL

The forces that left Belichick on the outside also kept out Holmgren. Except we didn’t know it at the time. Now we know. And once Belichick gets in, Holmgren would logically be next, since he was the last HC finalist before BB.

@NikkiNic9384 Plax and it’s not even close. I go to my grave convince the @giants win Eli’s third Lombardi if Plax was just wearing a belt that night. The boat trip was stupid and the receivers weren’t ready to win in GB. But, idk if that was a Super Bowl team.

As a Giants fan what pissed you off more? Plaxico Burress shooting himself Or …. The infamous boat trip I think it’s Plax for me because I just know that team was going back 😭😭 But anyway. For old times sake….

@kurt13warner I think Al had it right when he said, “just win baby”. I remember too, Ernie Acorsi said something about scouting Eli Manning, something to the effect, “he knows how to win”.

I love QB development & I, for sure, have distinct ways I like to teach and things I think are essential to be consistent as a thrower: Being/Staying loaded in back foot as much as possible, shoulders level, leading with backfoot, etc… But then there are guys that have become really good at throwing unconventionally & as hard as it can be to watch for those that would do it another way, you always have to ask does it check enough boxes to make it successful & has that QB been able to master something less conventional to still check necessary boxes? Tom Brady - played flat footed in the pocket which isn’t ideal, BUT he stayed true to factors above & was great at his technique Philip Rivers - you would never teach that arm position & release, BUT he had the elements above & mastered his motion Aaron Rodgers - he too often throws without his feet when he doesn’t have to, BUT he is the best body thrower I’ve ever seen… he uses his body like his feet & has mastered it! Sometimes you have to go beyond all the perfect teaching points & see what a QB has and doesn’t & has he found a way to overcome I will always teach off ideal bc very few can overcome certain deficiencies with tech, but I will also allow for some freedoms for guys that have mastered a way to overcome them without sacrificing success overall!

He should’ve been great but a key factor in eval is spending resources to get to know the person not just the tape. Gettleman and crew did not: just a combine meet Gettleman had a scouts eye and hit on some evals but brought the worst process to roster building in Giants history

Why do some of you ride so hard for Joe Schoen? •22-45-1 in the regular season which is the 6th worst in the NFL •13-38 over the last 3 seasons •1 playoff win •.331 win rate • Player grade of D+ •Mismanagement of the kicking position for multiple seasons •Poor free agency value •Key talent walked •Failure to put a serviceable product on the field I mean seriously. He hasn’t been able to put together a winning roster but some of you act like he’s built a top tier NFL team in his time with the Giants. You realize he’s a contributing factor to all the losing this franchise has been experiencing correct? How do you all complain in season about him & then give him a pass now? Fan logic 🙄

On my list of people who are clearly so much more amazing than I’ll ever be is Chancellor Lee Adams. And his grandmother. My Lord, what amazing grace! #NFL
Mr PitBull Stories@MrPitbull07

In 1999, Carolina Panthers wide receiver Rae Carruth orchestrated one of the most shocking crimes in sports history. When his pregnant girlfriend Cherica Adams refused to abort their child, Carruth hired hitman Van Brett Watkins to kill her. On November 16, he used his car to block her vehicle on a Charlotte road while Watkins fired four shots through her window. Despite being eight months pregnant and critically wounded, Cherica managed to call 911 and identify Carruth as her attacker before losing consciousness. Doctors performed an emergency c-section, delivering Chancellor Lee Adams. Cherica fought for 28 days before dying at age 24. Chancellor was born with cerebral palsy and permanent brain damage after being deprived of oxygen for 70 minutes. Carruth fled but was found hiding in a car trunk in Tennessee. He received 18-24 years for conspiracy to commit murder and was released in 2018. The actual shooter Watkins got 40 years and remains imprisoned until 2046. Cherica's mother Saundra raised Chancellor, who defied all medical predictions. At 10, he took his first steps. By 16, he was walking independently. In 2021, he graduated high school with honors to a standing ovation. Now 26, Chancellor sings in his church choir, travels, rides horses, and runs his smile ministry, spreading joy throughout his community. His father has never met him, but his grandmother says the door remains open.

Lord Adrian@RuinartSir

@CarlBanksGIII After you beat out Byron Hunt in 1986, you really had no competition until you were released? What was your motivation? Johnnie Cooks played really well in 1990 when you were injured but never took your place. @PASTOROFPAIN57 was a third year player when he took over in 1993.

@Pret again, no ice cup. The guy said, this little cup with no lid is all they’re allowed to give out. But you’re not “giving” me anything. And what’s really the difference between “giving” me this little cup with no lid and the one I asked for?

Giants fans need to understand: Arvell Reese was the best MLB available. He’s better at the position than Sonny Styles. Reese also has the potential to be a stud pass rusher. But currently he’s an awesome off-ball LB. Be happy

🇺🇸 Shannon Smith enlisted in the US Navy, at 18 years old. By 2007, she was running missions in Iraq with Special Operations teams. In 2013, she trained with elite forces where she met Joe Kent, whom she married in 2014 and welcomed two sons, never slowing down in the military's toughest roles. Cancer struck her in 2016. She beat thyroid cancer, recovered, and returned to duty. Smith dreamt of becoming a psychologist to help veterans with PTSD, she hit a wall: Navy rules barred her advancement because of her cancer. Shannon fought back, took her case to Congress, and won-changing policy and opening doors for countless others. In 2018, she deployed to Syria with the same unbreakable spirit. On January 16, 2019, at age 33, a suicide bombing in Manbij took her life. Posthumously promoted to Senior Chief and awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Defense Meritorious Service Medal. Rest easy Hero 🕊️ #RIP #Military

Very happy to see how much better John Mara, who is going through cancer treatments, looked. Hopefully this means he's winning his battle and is on the road to recovery. Cancer treatments aren't easy to go through.

"Say what you think. Put it out there...The fact he says it publicly, who cares?" The most important thing John Harbaugh said during Giants draft-on Malik Nabers' rips. To future free agents, old school coach showing he'll treat them as grown men raised in the social media age.
Giants Videos@SNYGiants

John Harbaugh says he had a "great conversation" with Malik Nabers after the first round of the draft: "We don't get too worried about stuff. As long as the person's heart is in the right place, as long as the person really cares, a player or coach or anybody, and you really want what's best for everybody, he's got a good heart and a good place, say what you think. Put it out there."
