Interesting D.C. budget nugget: @MayorBowser is proposing two new programs to let D.C. buy existing residential buildings to ensure they remain affordable. One would use funds from the Housing Production Trust Fund and let the city resell units to qualifying residents.

Metro's Yellow Line will reopen May 7, the transit agency announced today.
When it reopens, the line will only run from Huntington to Mt. Vernon Square, not Greenbelt as before.

Media got a look at the Yellow Line bridge and tunnel work today. The stretch between the Pentagon and L’Enfant Plaza has been closed since Sept and should be back open next month. Exact date coming later today.
