@lucasverse @mightydudbolt I lean towards it being intentional, given that Lucas was the person who advised Francis Ford Coppola to ditch his original version of Dracula's death in favour of having him beheaded.

@mightydudbolt Coincidence or not, stabbed and beheaded is how Dracula (the other Count he famously played) was originally destroyed in Bram Stoker's novel.

@mudriym @mobfighter63 Okay, I guess that lines up. Though, I still think it's very bizarre that he decided to add a scene to the Bad Batch arc depicting Anakin having a holographic conversation with an obviously pregnant Padme, months before RotS.

@jamessmith7034 @mobfighter63 According to Star Wars Insider #84 (2005), the events of Revenge of the Sith take place over about nine days, with Order 66 commencing on the fourth day.

Filoni changed Jango’s origin from TCW S2 to a Mandalorian ‘foundling’ in Mando S2, I think he’s more concerned with doing his own thing now that he doesn’t bring out certain lore that Lucas wanted like Jango Fett just acquiring Mandalorian armor and not being Mandorian.

@Phoenix2wenty4 I've always wondered whether this was meant to represent the version of the time vortex that the 1st Doctor travelled through or the one that the 12th Doctor travelled through.

@TARDIStime2 @StarfleetDesign That’s basically what I meant. 2005 felt like a hard reboot at the time with 0 references to the classic series, a new tone / episode format, and a Doctor that acted quite different from what audiences remembered.

#DoctorWho Spicy Take #119: I used to be against this idea but the past few years have swayed me: Doctor Who needs a hard reboot. It needs to wipe the slate clean of all the baggage and over convoluted storytelling that has bogged it down for years. Logo by @StarfleetDesign

@mightydudbolt @matpolloy And, since the octagonal buildings are just slightly altered versions of the National Library of Belarus, I don't really think they're deserving of any praise for being imaginative or visually unique.

@matpolloy No, that big octagonal building is not comparable to a single one of the other things I mentioned in terms of its visual uniqueness or iconic power, nor are the other examples.

I can’t even describe how much better I’m starting to feel. The doctors hope that I’ll be discharged by Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

The shot conveys all this while also being visually stark and striking, emotionally tragic and interrelating with the dichotomous scenes of the twins' birth and Padme's death. This shot is operating on a different level to something like the Yin Yang window.

He is now a cog in the larger machinery of the Empire, robbed of his own drives and identity. The colors then further inform us of the cold, lifeless world of black and white morality that Anakin is now trapped within the inner workings of.

Okay, let's compare a similar shot from the prequels. To begin with, Anakin is strapped to a table like Frankenstien, indicating he's become a monster. But the Frankenstien imagery also symbolizes that he is being reborn after his "death". So what is he being reborn into?

@CooperMode @mightydudbolt Like the symbolism of the imperial cog being broken from the escaped prisoners or Cassian standing in the doorway creating the rebellion logo with his body. Or the yin yang symbolizing Clinta and vel’s relationship???

@mightydudbolt @mobfighter63 And it's clever that, when Anakin checks on Tup after he killed Tiplar, Tup doesn't attack him. The Order 66 programing seemingly doesn't identify Anakin as a target (for obvious reasons), which makes it difficult for observers to infer that Tup was methodically attacking Jedi.

@mobfighter63 As far as they know, the chips don't cause them to turn on their Jedi officer. They simply cause the clones to become aggressive, which is not surprising given what they were told in Episode II.

@WildBlueJacob The point of regeneration is to revitalize Doctor Who and give it a new identity. This is the key to the show's longevity. Casting [redacted] as the 16th Doctor would be a horrible mistake that may do serious damage to the show.

I just cannot get behind *THAT* person being the 16th Doctor, if the rumours are true. I wouldn’t stop watching but I’d probably be less invested

Many hate Midi-chlorians for supposedly despiritualizing the Force and rooting it in biology. Yet curiously, when it comes to Anakin's ghost, these same people, by and large, refuse to consider his spiritual rejuvenation and are concerned only with the constraints of his body.
