Anybody have any tips dealing with grief? I’m not dealing with the loss of my grandmother very well and I don’t know how to deal with the sadness mixed with the anger and resentment caused by my mother.

@mrteabeast I went through several bereavements recently and I found counselling to be helpful - it can be useful to talk about your feelings with someone who is entirely neutral. I was lucky that the hospice gave free counselling, which may not be an option for you

Ten years ago I met a man in his 70s on a train in Kerala. When I asked if he minded travelling alone he replied: “I’m not alone, I’m by myself.” I always remember this when I’m eating out by myself or do anything without companions. It changes everything.

My favorite day at work is when a newer engineer makes a prod mistake and everyone on the team tells them stories of worst mistakes they've made in their careers. We don't do enough of engineering storytime.

I'm a 1x engineer. I Google how to do seemingly simple stuff daily. I experience impostor syndrome. I write code that has bugs in it. I sometimes need to read the documentation. I don't always "get it" immediately. I'm OK with this. #1xEngineer
