Your pitch must articulate the payoff - the benefits you bring to the person listening. Too many people talk about what they do, what they're good at, what they're experienced in or what they are qualified for. All of that is irrelevant if you don't translate it into a payoff for the person who's listening. For example, a dentist should talk about creating the perfect smile, removing people from pain, or extending the life of youthful, clean teeth.
