Democrats demand their people resign from congress. Republicans elect them president

Sen. John Kennedy admits on Fox News that the Republicans and Democrats reached a deal to fund TSA, but Trump said, “No. No deals with the Democrats.” Kennedy says, “It would have worked. We could have had TSA paid by the end of the week.” This is the Trump shutdown!

Let me get this straight. The leading Senate Republican walked into the White House Sunday with a bipartisan deal to end the TSA nightmare. Fund everything except ICE now, get TSA agents paid today, handle ICE separately. Senate Republicans and Democrats said yes. Trump said no. Why? Because Trump is holding TSA workers’ paychecks hostage to try and force Congress to pass the SAVE Act, a voter suppression bill that would knock millions of eligible Americans off the voter rolls. He wants to make it harder for Americans to vote. Like a petulant child flipping the board when he’s losing, Trump torched a bipartisan deal his own Senate leader handed him on a silver platter. His tantrum continues as he unleashes ICE agents into airports. Agents with zero screening training, zero TSA authority, and a good chance of making everything worse. Democrats have been ready to fund TSA from day one. What we refuse to do is write a blank check for an ICE agency that gunned down two American citizens in Minneapolis and still demands the ability to kick down doors without a judge’s approval while hiding behind masks. We will not pass the SAVE Act either. Call it what it is: the SAVE REPUBLICANS Act. Non-citizen voting is already illegal. It was illegal yesterday. It will be illegal tomorrow. This bill solves nothing except the Republican party’s losing electoral math. Fund TSA. Reform ICE. End this today. Trump is the one standing in the way.

Elijah McClain should have been celebrating his 30th birthday yesterday. He should be alive today. Elijah McClain was a 23-year-old Black man who died at the hands of police and paramedics on August 24, 2019, in Aurora, CO. He was walking home from a convenience store, wearing a ski mask because he had a condition that made him cold, and had not committed or been accused of any crime. After a 911 call reported a “suspicious person,” officers stopped him, put him in a chokehold, and forced him to the ground as he repeatedly said he was just trying to get home and had done nothing wrong. While he was restrained, paramedics injected him with 500 milligrams of ketamine, a dose later shown to have been calculated based on a significant overestimate of his weight and far higher than what would have been appropriate for his small frame. @Timcast Tim, we can pick it apart all we want. But the bottom line here is, don't bring a gun to a riot. If you bring a gun to a riot with it in your hand the agents / cops / whomever must assume you intend to use it. Once that's the case they have to take action accordingly.

Empty hand, then gun in hand. Appears the man may have been disarmed before being shot. This is a chain of events in a greater conflict. Neither side cares at this point what justifies it or doesnt I don't see Trump winning this one

@Timcast The person who shot may not have seen the gun removed. They're reacting to an armed subject. You can't slow a dynamic scene to a frame by frame analysis and hold them to that standard.

Megachurches don’t pay taxes because they are expected to provide public benefits, such as charity, education, and social support. This would have filled a lot food pantries and helped lots of people struggling to afford basic necessities. Tax churches.
