I'm delighted to announce that I've partnered with @micro_prose in a publishing deal for my combat helicopter game! It will be released as Gunship Origins; the first Gunship title published by MicroProse in over 25 years. As a huge fan of MicroProse games in the 90s, this couldn't be a better fit. I'm absolutely pumped about it.

@coinkong Working hard on it, but I have a lot of systems to build and of course improve graphics and polish everything. Follow along if you want and I’ll try to make sure I post regular updates!

@jammingames Sounds like work for the future if you feel like it fits the feeling of the game in the right way. I got it wishlisted.

Graphics are definitely important, and we'll be putting a lot of time and effort into that. But my focus is on the core gameplay, flight model, multiplayer co-op, and the "feel" of the game. If I don't get those right, even with good graphics it'll just be a pretty demo. That's not what success looks like to me.

@goongolabongo @PandasAndVidya My son and I went through original halo together before he moved out and it was awesome.

@RandoCollector I can confirm no Arabs are on the receiving end of these virtual missiles. In fact, the “enemy” in this game is an unnamed force that happens to use Soviet era equipment (mostly because those are the easiest models to find). I’m avoiding making this game political.

@PizzaBoxDino I’d like to add marine helicopters eventually. AH-1 SuperCobra and Viper, and UH-1 Huey and Venom. But these models are expensive to design and integrate and tune at high fidelity, so I’m not sure if it’ll make it in or not. Hoping to.

@jammingames What helos are planned to be in game? Will it just be the AH-64 or can we expect to see AH-1s as well?
