I started off intern year with TWO months of wards. I did the hard thing, and improved significantly while doing it.

@DrNikoDragoDO @dromarselod @TriciaColucci From last year, most of my interviews were from places I didn’t signal. Even places I didn’t think would even consider me. i think there is still a place to apply a lil broader than just a hard 20.

@dromarselod @TriciaColucci Use all 20 signals. Use all 3 geo preference signals. This is new for PM&R so it’s hard to know how programs will respond to those who don’t signal. In other specialties, after a few yrs of big signals, it reigns in the overapplication and signal distribution improves

Thoughts on 20 signals for PMR residency applications…… will students only get interview invites if they signal?….should they apply to places they don’t signal?…..are 20 signals enough?……discuss!!!!!! @TriciaColucci

PM&R moving to big signaling! For #Match2026 PM&R applicants, barring an extraordinary situation, I would not count on any interviews outside your signals. Also, your signals to big, popular academic programs far from guarantees interviews. It’s a real balancing act - be careful!

I never got to share where I was gonna train. I matched at my home program @pmrrcm. I’ll have the opportunity to train close to my family. Thanks to all the programs who offered me an interview and considered me for a position. #Match2025 #Physiatry

Biggest tip to PGY0s: get new technology NOW!!! When you do orientation, your phone/ laptop gets loaded with all the apps, Citrix, password-protected stuff and it’s a huge headache to upgrade later on
