@icobeast @tD_0101 @virtuals_io Well kinda saw this eventual path when Kaito first introduced Yap-to-Earn & with anything that’s incentivised, people act in the exact manner to benefit from it. They say don’t hate the players, hate the game. I’m just a salty pleb with 0 Yaps till date 🫠

The real bummer is it wasn’t like this 3 months ago. Incentives and mindshare boards were a great boon to real content creation because there was extra reward for sharing things about projects you were looking at. Almost all of that is now getting siphoned away to extremely low value garbage…and it makes it not worth the brand risk either because content you might have previously made (incentivized or not) gets mentally categorized as farming and thrown in with the low value crew

This might hurt some feelings, but if your “content” is regularly about your leaderboard placements and what incentive pools exist, you’re not a content creator…you’re a farmer. There will come a time in the not too distant future when projects explicitly block that behavior from their incentive programs and many will no longer be able to collect their yapper UBI Optimize for long term value creation, not short term stimmy extraction
