Live from @DNC Meeting in New Orleans: We are glad to see the @DNC's Resolutions Committee's rejection of two resolutions related to Israel, both of which were out of step with the policies of the Democratic Party, as codified in the 2024 Democratic Party Policy Platform. We're grateful to DNC Chair Martin for establishing the Middle East Working Group last year, and agree with the decision of the Resolutions Committee to refer these resolutions to the Working Group for discussion as opposed to adoption. We oppose both resolutions, and are pleased to see their overwhelming rejection by the Committee. With regard to the resolution on AIPAC, we were also pleased with its defeat in the Resolutions Committee. We agree with the rejection of dark money in politics -- a topic covered in another more expansive resolution adopted by the Committee -- but also believe that singling out any individual organization is both unproductive and unnecessarily divisive.

Trump was warned this would happen. He did it anyway. Now, over 10,000 Veterans lost their homes. 90,000 more are on track for foreclosure. On top of cutting jobs, slashing benefits and throwing our heroes into an unnecessary war. The most anti-Veteran President in history.

.@GovernorShapiro on political differences in America:  "We should have differences, and when we iron out those differences... we ultimately end up with a better product... that is a good thing and that is a healthy part of our process. "What is not healthy is when people inject vitriol, and division, and hate into that conversation."

President Trump can sign whatever the hell he wants to, but it won’t change the Constitution. The authority to set our election rules belongs to the states — and as Governor, I will protect your right to vote. That includes your right to vote by mail.

"Most people don't understand as yet the magnitude of this shock." Of all the issues discussed during this weekend’s many conference calls on the economic and financial consequences of the Middle East conflict, this one sentence stood out the most. It’s a sobering reminder that we may only be seeing the tip of the iceberg regarding the shock to the economic and financial systems. #economy #markets #middleeastwar
