Maharashtra Administration tells public to not visit Missing Link as tourists. ITS NOT A TOURIST SPOT

The Girder launching work in connection with the ongoing Metro Line 6 work at Jogeshwari was successfully completed during the mega block between Jogeshwari and Ram Mandir. During the intervening night of 2nd & 3rd May 2026, three girders of 32 m span, each weighing 110 MT, were successfully launched between Ram Mandir and Jogeshwari station. The operation was carried out during a 10-hour Traffic and Power Block on the 6th line and shunting line, along with a 3-hour block on the UP Fast line and 5th line. The block was completed 30 minutes ahead of the permitted time. A total of 110 personnel, including railway staff and contractual staff, were deployed for the work. Heavy machinery and equipment utilized included 1 crane (600T), 2 cranes (500T), 2 standby cranes (500T each), 2 hydras, 2 JCBs, 1 material lifter, and 2 tower wagons, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of the operation. #WesternRailway #InfrastructureDevelopment #RailwayOperations #PublicInfrastructure #ProgressInMotion

@ShivamVahia But that shouldn't be a sealink. It should be on land. Mira Road west is all saltpans. That land should be used.

Precisely why we need the North Coastal Road from Versova to Dahisar, and a further Dahisar - Bhayandar link. Cut those damn mangroves in the way. We'll still be net net carbon positive due to the flow.

@ShivamVahia They could even build a coastal road branch from Dahisar to Mira Road. It could probably touch Bhaktivedanta Swami Marg. Otherwise people living in Mira road will have to go all the way to Bhayander and then come to Mira Road via Maxus Mall.
