@uniformcritic The best part of this was it happened on the same night Rickey Henderson set the sb record, so Nolan was the bigger story.

@chadmumm Back when scrambles were proper in the early 00’s, I put an ad in the local newspaper twice where I offered golf services in return for my entry fees being paid…I got no less than 30 calls from each listing. This doesn’t seem egregious at all to me.

It’s so ridiculous. We just got the pregame scene down Victory Park right. Took 2 decades but restaurants with tons of Stars fans gearing up for a game. An alive scene. And now they want to move the whole thing 30 miles up the tollway. Hard pass. Stay here. It’s awesome now.

The best player story in The Masters is Brandon Holtz - a 39 year old real estate agent and former D1 basketball player who grew up traveling to Augusta yearly because his dad won lifetime badges in a lottery

I chatted with USGA Director of Player Relations Scott Langley Wednesday night to find out more about U.S. Mid-Am champ Brandon Holtz’s driver went from the USGA Museum to The Masters in less than 24 hours. "I would venture a guess that neither Brandon nor us as the USGA had that on our bingo cards," Langley told me. Usually if a player needs a club at a Tour event, there are trucks everywhere to build one. The couldn't build the one Holtz wanted. By Tuesday afternoon, Holtz needed a very specific driver. The one he won with seven months ago at Troon CC. The problem: he’d donated it to the USGA. It was sitting in New Jersey. Around 4 p.m., USGA CEO Mike Wahn gets a text. The USGA “circled the wagons,” Langley told me. The museum director was in Paris. Someone at the museum tracked the club down. Their office services manager got it to the UPS Store just before the overnight cutoff. It arrived at Augusta to one of the USGA's rental houses this week on Wednesday and went straight to conformance testing. It passed. The USGA handed it back Holtz sometime before 4 p.m. “Pretty special for sure,” he said. “Shows you what the USGA does and will do for you.” If it were me, I'd be a nervous wreck tracking it through UPS. But not Holtz. “They basically said, ‘just enjoy your day,’” he said. “So no, I'm not tracking it, but I have faith that they'll be here.” Holtz will tee off with that driver at 9:02 this morning, but where it will go after this week remains to be seen. Right now the USGA museum has nothing from the 2025 U.S. Mid-Am champ. "I think it's fair to say we'll check in with him," Langley said. "We'd love to have it there, and in these cases, these players really appreciate the chance to have one of their artifacts in our museum as well. It's not just saying it because it's ours, but it's just an amazing collection of golf history." Perhaps they should use the box used to ship him the driver. But for the rest of this week, that driver is living the dream along with Holtz in Augusta, Ga.

@LaceUpSoccer These same kids usually get burned out on the game by u15 tryouts if they don’t play other sports and take breaks from the game. I’ve seen it with my two sons’ friends groups…the kids who are good at 11 are almost never the ones who show the most promise at 15.

Russia smuggles 100k women into remote Alaska and births 100k Russian-Americans, just like is happening at the southern border every month. My example is exactly valid, what then? You’re using absolutist language that isn’t there when you say it was written as a one size fits all rule. If so, they would have said “anybody born here is a citizen, regardless of origin”…except they didn’t do that. The “subject to the jurisdiction” part can be read multiple ways, liberals who don’t want to have borders read it one way, conservatives who believe it borders and the rule of law read its another. I don’t believe the SCOTUS will support the EO, btw. Too many moving parts involved….but I was also surprised when they sent Roe back to the states for adjudication, so who knows…

Even your 100,000 pregnant Russian women fantasy falls apart in practice. That scale would trigger visa denials and extra screening long before mass births could happen; it doesn't create some unstoppable workaround. All the same, it does not justify rewriting the amendment. It was written as a one-size-fits-all rule that doesn't bend to future hypotheticals. Exactly as Roberts said today: “it's a new world…it's the same Constitution.”

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson: Did I understand you to say that domicile is controlled by Congress? Trump's Solicitor General Sauer: Congress can't dictate certain classes of people lack the legal capacity to form a legally binding domicile. Jackson: My understanding was the framers put this citizenship clause into the Constitution to prevent future Congresses from affecting citizenship in this way. Sauer: I... uh, uhhh... no I don't think so.

@RegulusMuthias @HQNewsNow So if Russia decides to secretly send 100k pregnant women here, they could all have their children on our soil, take them back to Russia and groom the children to destroy the USA…and we would be forced to accept them as citizens? This is lunacy.

I swear I want to grab that toady by the throat, shake him, and yell in his face about how much of a kiss-ass he is for blatantly going against an amendment that was solely meant for this kind of situation. It was meant to decisively push back against any kind of idiocy or bullshit to deny citizenship to people. To all of those verified maggots in the comments here: the Supreme Court is not going to strike this down for the same reason you think it should be. Birthright citizenship, the way it is, is meant to be a decisive pushback against everything you guys are intending (loopholes to deny people citizenship). It is simply settled on the fact: you are born here, you are a citizen. End of story. No more, no less, and under no circumstances of relation to who your parents are or where they come from. Get used to it. The court ruled against Trump's tariffs, and they'll rule against this too. You guys are wasting your political capital on this frivolous endeavor, just as you waste so much already to the point that you've practically made yourselves a lame duck presidency even before the slaughter you're about to get in the midterms.

I will not send you guys DMs; I will make it public. My family has been planning this vacation for over 9 months. We paid for our suite on the cruise for a family of 5, totaling upwards of $7,000. We are supposed to arrive at the harbor by 2 p.m., with the ship sailing at 4. We booked a super-early flight that cost a little over $1,400, and I paid $240 for extra luggage. For this vacation, my wife and I cleared our calendars, with a running cost of at least $30,000 for the whole week. Last night we tried to check in but realized the flight was overbooked, and even after checking in, we weren’t assigned seat numbers. I also paid $80 for remote parking at DFW for 6 days, just for convenience. We told my wife we had to get to the airport. Our flight was at 6:30 a.m., so we left home at 3:30 a.m. and arrived before 5 a.m. The first attendant told us there weren’t enough flight attendants, so the flight was cancelled. We spoke to another one, who said it was a weather issue in Miami. What I know is that the flight went to Miami, but because it was overbooked, they randomly cancelled some passengers. What upsets me most is that my wife warned me about this airline. Also, my son is supposed to turn 9 on Wednesday, all of that is gone. Royal Caribbean did not refund our money. My children’s spring break and my son’s birthday have been ruined just because we booked with Spirit Airlines.

@ekun_II We're sorry this has been your experience. It's not what we aim for! Send us a DM, and we'd be happy to help out.
