@athcanft Add Japanese support and run some JP ads. You will probably find it will blow up. Tiktok is more active in asian countries and with Japanese anime and icon scenes its not that surprising.

Codex with /goal is great, but gosh its slow. Don't use it if you are actively wanting to make changes quickly. I am using it for my night time runs while I sleep.

@ericdjav Now imagine how many views you would have got if you spent $200. I’m spending $20 per day and am at about 49k impressions with 25% clicks. In 3 days it’s overtaken all of my other apps in terms of traffic.

$29 in ads. 69,272 people saw my app. 1,428 clicked. Cost per visitor: $0.02. The "you need a marketing budget to launch" myth needs to die. You need a clear hook and the discipline to test, fail, and iterate. That's it.

I haven’t tried Codex before. I have only ever used Claude Code for all my coding. But after seeing it show up everywhere on X, I want to try it… I’m not sure if I should use it via cli or the mac app…

@alexcooldev What about if your apps didn’t make you money yet. Obviously would need income. I allocate 15 hours each week to external products and consultancy work just to keep something coming in while I build. It’s also actually a really good way to network and find people to hire.

This is why I don’t take on any consulting clients, even though I get DMs from people willing to pay me $500/hour. Part of it is that I’m lazy, but mostly I’m just too busy updating and building new apps. And in my view, consultant services still require you to trade your time for money, you can’t earn more while you’re sleeping. My goal, on the other hand, is to build passive and automated income streams that make money even when I’m asleep, so I can achieve maximum freedom and scale in the future without putting in much additional effort. If you ever travel to Vietnam, you can grab a coffee with me (if I’m free) and I’ll share everything for free. I’ve met a few guys from X in HCMC and Da Nang :) Consulting isn’t bad though. I’d still be willing to pay $1k+ for a session if it gives me knowledge I truly need for my life or work.

Pretty incredible You have to try the new '/goal' feature in Codex It worked for over an hour and built me an entire complex extraction shooter video game You give it a goal, then it works endlessly until the goal is complete. It's like a Ralph loop. Can run for days If you enable the image gen skill before you run the goal, it will even generate ALL the assets for your game autonomously. I didn't manually create ANY of the assets you see in the video Recommendations: enable the image gen skill, put on skip all permissions, and give the prompt as much detail as you can. It will accomplish ALL of it This has to be the sickest way to build games/ long running app tasks ever
