This week: 4 AAIC Abstracts+1 Symposium Proposal. 1 paper acceptance. INS CE slides prepped. Community caregivers talk. But also...3 concurrent viruses in my home. Ear tubes+adenoidectomy for daughter. Snow day + sick day for son. Car trouble. MANY missed deadlines. Send coffee.

On Jan. 8, VP of Student Affairs at Lincoln University (MO) Dr. Antoinette “Bonnie” Candia-Bailey died by suicide due to distress from “bullying & severe mistreatment” in her role.
The community is now calling for the termination of President Dr. Moseley.

Since the countdown is now weeks, not months, I'll share that I'm making a career change. At the start of the year, I'll join the faculty of Washington University in the Department of Psychiatry. I'm excited for a new opportunity & grateful to be able to continue my work in STL.

Once, a woman stopped me in the lobby. "I'm sorry, I can’t find the ICU.” I showed her where to go. An hour later, I was called to the room—her husband was dying from cancer. That was the day I decided to treat every person in the hospital as if it were their hardest day.

My condolences and prayers to the @isleybrothers family on the loss of their beloved brother Rudolph Isley. I performed on the @apollotheater stage with them when I was 11 yrs old. My first professional show I opened up for them when I was a teenager. Hold the family in your 🙏🏾💐

Wow reading this really hurt. It seems citations for grants submitted to @nih is dependent on the RFA. Read the thread… each discipline has a style so why does it matter? Plus, good reviewers will read citations.

R01 application was administratively withdrawn because we cited “Doe et al.” instead of using numerical citations. I understand it was our mistake and appreciate the need to anonymize, but why not check at the time of submission and give us a chance to correct? @NIH @NIHDirector.
