I usually think I don't know much about music, but then I read critics in the Wall Street Journal and Deadline Hollywood calling Nala Sinephro's "Smashing Machine" score "jagged," "discordant" and "free jazz."

@BorisKonijnbrg Some of the dynamics were Pixies-indebted, sure, but in terms of production and intensity, I don't think you can call a song like "Hoover Dam" "third-rate Pixies." Frank Black would never write a keyboard solo like that.
