I can definitely recommend Bart. Among other things he handled our integration and certification into SEPA (INST & SCT) as well as connectivity to numerous bespoke banking systems.

Hello people! I'm looking now for a #remote (#fsharp/#csharp) contract. If you know anyone looking for a senior dev with years of #dotnet #fsharp #csharp #cloud #azure #payments #banking #ecommerce experience then feel free to contact me. Thanks!

@bitfield Ah, no. It’s Grandmas cookie recipe that matters, not any given batch.

No code is sacred. It’s not the recipe that matters, but the cake.

@keppla @xaviation Regulations define a flight envelope, max speeds, maneuvers etc. For example non-aerobatic craft are required to be able safely up to 3g, something you might see pulling out of a dive. That gets translated into loads.

Postman truly jumping the shark by disabling local only execution. Vastly overrated and misused tool, that takes an entire category of verification away from your codebase in a bad way. Never trust a tool that wants to take over your entire workflow. That's a walled garden.

@k_cieslak Indeed key skills will be understanding a new domain, being able to describe it in semi-formal terms and validation of generated output. A layer of drudgery is disappearing.

@_cartermp @k_cieslak My poorly made point is that even after the AI landslide buries current process the fundamental 3 step will remain: 1. figure out what is needed 2. describe that to a machine 3. ensure we got it right I've always believed in "programmers" doing 1 so am delighted to offload 2&3.

@dzoukr That is a great layout for entering a few digits and letters. Even as a touch typist I think I could peck out FG4 5K9 faster on it than on a QWERTY layout.

@_cartermp @k_cieslak Ok, but in that case what is that “abstract manner” if not a new kind of programming language. And the instrumentation sounds like tests. Fundamentally we are still describing what we want and then checking it is correct.

@k_cieslak Won’t the ability to quickly understand and vet the AI output become important?

The unexplainable urge to play with SmallTalk 😬 Even if it's old, it looks really different from modern mainstream programming languages and, in some ways, feels innovative. Does anyone have any experience? Any thoughts to share? pharo.org

@_cartermp Or as someone put it “the answer to the problem of 2 ton ICVs is not to replace them all with 2 ton EVs”.
