Congress must hold itself to the highest ethical standard, regardless of party. Based on the facts and information that has come out, it’s simple: Eric Swalwell, Tony Gonzalez, and Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick should all resign from Congress effective immediately. If not, Congress should move to expel all three of them upon our return this week. Leadership and members in both parties should have moral clarity and recognize some things are more important than vote margins and party loyalty.

The SAVE America Act is about proof of citizenship to register to vote and using a Photo ID when you do so. Why are Chuck Schumer and Democrats AGAINST this common sense measure? Because they want illegal aliens to vote in our elections.

You’re a dope. The bill was introduced last Congress and again last year. There was no plan to vote on it right now — it hasn’t even been marked up by committee. Stop lying just to get clicks. The bill is not amnesty — no one who came under Joe Biden would qualify and no one who has committed a crime would qualify. You must pay a fine, pay back taxes, have a job, cannot commit a crime, cannot collect government benefits, and cannot become a citizen, which means you won’t be able to vote. It would codify the President’s border policies into law and would implement e-verify nationwide for all businesses, preventing illegals from working in the country. Instead of using words for rage bait, actually have a rational discussion. And if you have a better plan, by all means.

As sick as it was, the amnesty bill by Mike Lawler, Salazar, and other neocons was timed with Trump’s planned strike on Iran. Their plan was to vote on it while the country was distracted with a massive and escalating war. This is treachery beyond comprehension.
