@generalcatalyst The system wasn’t built to deliver these treatments, so we’ve spent years building the clinics, software, and infrastructure to change that. Now we get to bring this to many more people as we scale across the country.

I screwed up big time on an infil as a young fully mission qualified pilot. We were fast roping customers to a container ship, and I overshot the approach resulting in over torquing both engines. What didn’t happen? We didn’t abort the infil, we didn’t crash in the water. The mission didn’t stop. We proceeded from infil to aerial refuel overwater posturing for contingencies and Exfil. The flight lead didn’t have time to do it for me or to talk about it, the mission just continued. The ability to move forward from failure was essential to my past life. You can learn from the past, but you can’t change it. In the moment you have to immediately refocus, reengage, and stay in the fight.

4. How Deel Ramp New Acquisitions So Fast Post acquisition timeline: - Month 1-2: Rebuild all frontend inside Deel while backend’s still connected to current company. - Month 3-12: Rebuild full backend depending on scale. - In parallel: Migrate existing customers, start selling new product, fix bugs, and close product gaps. We can reach product scale in 9 months while others take 24. How do the single best founders you have worked with do integration so well @honam @chadbyers @bdeeter @martin_casado

Thanks to @jacobeffron and @nikillinit for inviting me on Vital Signs this week. It’s fun to catch up with friends and great to share more about what we’re building at General Medicine, including our approach to make sure people can own their own healthcare.

While other cos in the sector face headwinds,@hifortunahealth is ready to scale and support Americans in engaging and staying on Medicaid. A huge privilege to be a small part of this journey - congrats @singareddynm @ben_wesner
Nikita S@singareddynm

Fortuna Health has raised an $18M Series A from @a16z to double down on modernizing Medicaid. 2.5 years ago, we set out with the lofty goal to build the TurboTax for Medicaid and government coverage. Sounds easy… until you’re learning the eligibility, deadline, and documentation requirements across 56 states and territories managed on outdated infrastructure with inconsistent workflows. Our team has *always* believed navigating Medicaid should feel like a modern consumer experience. Simple. Accurate. Efficient. So we built a product to reduce burden, from automating away income errors to removing duplicate enrollments. We unified and routed submissions across channels (email, fax, phone, snail mail, portals, etc), so complex legacy infrastructure never stood in the way. We simplified and personalized support for the moments that matter - like renewing with a newborn. With the One Big Beautiful Bill's changes coming fast, we're doubling down on putting the Medicaid consumer first with better automation and infrastructure. And we're stepping up to support states and merit workers making technology and operational transitions. A huge thanks to @julesyoo and @daisydwolf (a16z HC+Bio) and @garrytan (Y Combinator) for believing in our vision. To all of our customers - and every consumer on Fortuna - we're honored to serve as your trusted Medicaid navigation partner. To the incredible Fortuna team that's built boldly and never looked back... this is our time! 🚀  Read more on our Series A here: a16z.com/announcement/i… If you're wired to solve big problems, we're also hiring (!!!) across engineering, operations, and growth: fortuna-health.notion.site/Careers-at-For…

We found a grapefruit sized tumor has been growing under our 2 yr old Doberman mix’s ribs. Surgery isn’t curative and 6+ ribs need to be removed to get at it. It’s currently pushing against his heart and lungs and growing 1cm/week. Making difficult decision to put him down while he’s still decent but having such a hard time with reconciling it

Ladies and gentlemen, I've officially posted my way to the top: I'm joining @X as Head of Product. 𝕏 is the most important social network in the world. It's where internet culture originates and where the world's most influential people convene. Finding my community and building an audience on 𝕏 has impacted my life more than any single thing: it's unlocked friendships, professional opportunities and it's even where I met my girlfriend. While I already spend every waking hour on this app, I'll now be spending that time helping others unlock that same value. And we'll certainly be leveraging the power of Grok to create hyper-relevant timelines and help people understand everything that's happening. Thanks @elonmusk and the 𝕏 team for inviting me to work on the product that I live and breathe.

@AirFrance - I called @AirFranceFR asking them not to enforce the “child must sit by the window” rule in a way that separates us. However, they prefer to keep my 5 year old kid 9 rows away—alone. That’s not safety, that’s policy gone wrong. I understand the rule is about him staying calm in an emergency - he will definitely not be calm 9 rows away.

@airfrance we were seated all together on an upcoming flight and now you moved my 5 year old 9 rows away for an 8 hr flight. He can't buckle his own seatbelt. I talked to your reps who won't move anyone "without their permission" which is *exactly* what you did to me. It's not safe. Very unhappy customer.
