They went with a messy, "punk rock" version from Tom King's weak Woman of Tomorrow comic instead of a true iconic powerhouse. James Gunn's DCU vision strikes again — bad source material + his usual quirky directing style turned into another Guardians knockoff in space. Classic Supergirl would smash this. From next week's SSF Planning Commission agenda: a proposal to temporarily paint the letters on Sign Hill red, white, and blue this summer for the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. They would be repainted the traditional white in Fall 2026.
