The LIV collapse in a nutshell.
Bottom line...
LIV Golf didn’t collapse overnight....it followed a typical pattern:
Hype... disruption...resistance... stagnation.... And funding crisis..
The biggest issue wasn’t competition with the PGA Tour...it was that LIV never proved it could survive without billions in external funding.

3. PIF hires Alix Partners. One of the largest corporate chopping block restructuring firms in the US.
When Alix comes in, the existing company will be a microcosm of itself, or cease to exist at all.
LIV fans can say what they want in support of LIV, and throw their blame at Jay Monohan, or call it a monopoly, or whatever. But facts are facts and they're undisputed. There will be a best seller or a movie on the Downfall of Liv Golf.
It will be an Academy Award winner!

A massive percentage of these new “followers” are bots.
Go to the No Laying Up account, click on their “1M followers,” then click the “Followers” tab at the top.
As you scroll, you’ll start seeing the same type of account over and over:
▶️No profile picture.
▶️That account is following 10 to 30 accounts.
▶️That account has zero followers of their own.
I had this exact same thing happen to me last year, just on a MUCH smaller scale.
Over a 4-day stretch, I saw a huge spike in followers. I track my account closely, and this was way WAY outside the norm. There was no logical reason for it.
So I reached out to someone I know who used to work at X. He contacted someone who still works there.
He told me:
“Spoke to a buddy at X. He said it’s nothing to worry about. They are aware of the behavior and won’t penalize any accounts impacted by it.”
I asked:
“I just don’t understand what would prompt someone to do that. I just don’t get it.”
He responded:
“It’s most likely people just testing the fences. And you are collateral damage.”
So from what I can tell, No laying up, Dan Rapaport, Michael Kim, Shooter McGavin, Will Wilcox (and probably others) have been hit by a massive bot-follower attack.

We don't always see eye to eye but I'd like to congratulate @NoLayingUp on surpassing 1,000,000 followers. In 6 weeks, with just a few posts per day they have grown by over 60%. Up from around 600k that's nearly 9,000 new followers per day! Superhuman efficiency, congrats! 👍

Expect spin that PIF always planned to divest. It didn't. LIV was Yasir's baby, and the framework agreement had him atop PGA Tour Enterprises (along with Augusta membership!). He's bailing because the ship is going down and he'd rather not be photographed at the helm
