@CanadianPolling What a shock...most of Canada doesn't want the cash cow to leave...
English

@jnnl36 He pitched great today had some hard luck RBI today. He has been good! Corbin has been a great surprise, but Cease has so much more upside.
English

@Ihatewinter2026 @northgator15 Well he is bashing the trade to get clicks and I fell for it.
English

@northgator15 There is no bashing this trade. Just an update.
English

@Ihatewinter2026 Such a dumb comments. So a pitcher has good numbers in AA and you are insinuating that the Beiber trade was bad when he helped us get to the WS last year? Wow.
English

@YoungStreete The last thing the Cons want is an election. Their numbers are in the toilet.
English

To all the Liberal supporters calling conservative voters cry babies over their objections to floor crossings resulting a a majority government for the Liberal party, GFY. If the shoe was on the other foot, and your election votes were rendered useless, you wouldn’t take the floor crossings sitting down either. You’d he just as upset as conservative voters are now. If you’re all so sure of the popularity of Carney and the Liberal Party, grow a pair and let’s have an election.
English

@hailes_mike @alleria_eh Hmmm. Seems to me all the MPs were elected.
English

@alleria_eh An an unelected majority government is something a dictatorship would do.
English

I'm not supportive of floor crossings.
I'm not supportive of bringing in bigots to the liberal party just to get a majority.
I'm not supportive of majority governments in general.
But I sure as hell will laugh my ass off at the conservatives calling this a dictatorship move because they don't understand what real fascism is.
English

Here's a challenge for you. Name a politician on the "other side" that you don't mind and may not entirely agree with, but can see some common ground and sensibilities within.
I will go first.
I think Erin O'Toole has some good takes sometimes and I while I absolutely don't agree with him always, I can at least find some common footing with him now.
English

@BOSSportsGordo This annoys me too. The answer is always that it is easier to get out.....yeah but it is harder to park so....wtf is the point. I dont buy that it is safer.
English

@OilersJack @batkins67 Anyone who watched the game and has any sense knows that the US got badly outplayed. Sonetimes you are the better team and you lose. It hapoened.....move on.
English

@batkins67 Worthy of a win is such participation medal thinking. Take every advantage you can and Canada didn’t. They made bad optical descisions thinking this was in the bag. And it wasn’t.
English

Team Canada lost the Gold medal for 3 reasons that the Main Stream Media is way too scared to talk about.
1) Florida Panthers players Brad Marchand and Sam Bennet hid major injuries. Or they were known and still went. (Why?)
2) Doug Armstrong hates the Oilers so left the top scoring Canadian Defenceman and Left Winger (Bouchard and Hyman) off the roster. See offer sheet to Oilers players.
3) Doug Armstrong tried to pump the value of his own players (Parayko and Binnington) to trade them at the deadline. See trade rumours all season.
When we are ready for these conversations around personal gain and selfishness we will be ready to compete for Gold again as a country.

@SimplyAJ10 @JoeyBats19 Yes, yes AJ you were a good player ...just not as good as Joey Bats!
English

We had a good 2-3 year rivalry. It was awesome and great for baseball. @JoeyBats19 brought fire and so did O’day.
I have a fun fact about Bautista and myself on who got hit more and with more velo.
Jomboy@Jomboy_
Orioles kept throwing behind Jose Bautista and he responded by hitting home runs, a breakdown

@Ollieldjifod @CateSask Heck l, I live in Alberta and think a good portion of Albertans are complainers. We have the highest wages and best standard of living and yet a good portion of Albertans think they are being hard done by. I find it really annoying.
English

@CateSask Toward the end of the show, one called to say she wanted to separate because she claims people from other provinces think Albertans are a bunch of complainers.
Irony was clearly lost on her.
English

Absolutely howling listening to Albertans call into Cross Country Checkup today to explain Alberta separatism.
Caller #1: “I want to separate because of the federal lockdowns.”
Host: “Those were imposed and enforced by your provincial government.”
Caller: dial-up modem noises
Caller #2: “It’s about bank accounts being frozen.”
Host: “So… the pandemic?”
Caller: “Well they did it during the election too.”
No. They. Didn’t.
And this is the problem.
These people skim one Facebook meme, skip the part where facts live, and suddenly think they’ve cracked Confederation.
Also: I thought nobody listened to CBC?
Weird how the entire ‘I don’t listen to CBC’ crowd somehow found the phone number, the time slot, and the courage to call in anyway.
Nothing screams “do your own research” like confidently arguing with a national broadcaster using Facebook comments as footnotes.

@TheAuthorGuy @kflowersmith We export most of our funny people to the US. It would be nice to get one in return!

Canada, you can have your douche bag back.

One man is sitting on (well-earned) earnings from the private sector that would make Scrooge McDuck green with envy and can afford bespoke… Everything. The other isn’t and can’t. And if your point is that well tailored suits make him look more like a leader… Well, that’s a level performative nothingness that I’m just really tired of.

Watch these two videos. Then answer these two questions: — Which of the two men is better dressed? — How does each come off?

@bnicholsonsmith @baseballhall Andy Pettite was a great pitcher but is not a hall of fame pitcher in my opinion. He will get more votes than he deserves as he was a Yankee.
English

Here's how I voted for the @baseballhall. A privilege to vote for the first time. I considered Felix & others. May revisit in future years. For 2026, this was my vote:

English

@RealMichaelKay They added the best starying pitcher on the market, and Okamoto, and Cody Ponce, and they get Bieber for a full year and they get Yesavage for a full season. Barger has all the experience from last year and will be better.
English

Again, tell me how the Blue Jays got better. No one is answering that. And of course they’re flawed. Every team has flaws. Not hard to admit. Last near flawless team I saw was 1998 Yanks.
Zachary Tyler@wolfsxblood24
@RealMichaelKay Mike, it’s okay to admit the Yankees are flawed. You can say they lead the league in runs, where did that get them? They got wrecked by the Jays; the whole season. And guess what? The AL east has made moves to get better, Yankees haven’t. It’s a fact.
English

Jays fucked around - simple as that
He had his number - Jays didn't want to bid against themselves- they held firm - didn't get to the 400M
Instead of taking an offer from a a team refusing to come to his number - he's now going to bat 6th on a team that will make the post season and he can try again next winter for his number.
It is what it is
