There are more than 2,000,000 Veterans currently living in the UK, if you include their families and supporters that number rises to more than 4,500,000!
I want to connect with as many of them as possible, so if you are one let me know, and if you know one please tag them in the comments below.

We Do Not Care Club Message From Melani!
This isn’t your standard WDNC announcement, but I thought this would be nice to do.
Ladies, listen to the video and drop a message in the comments and let’s all share what we’ve got going on in our lives that is good right now!
I will post mine below!
Stay strong sisters, we are stronger together ❤️

@JohnBarrowman I care for my parents, mum 91 and dad 90 with Alzheimer’s as well as having a full time job. It’s a lot especially the doctors visits, dentists, hospitals and even haircuts all take time. I do all their shopping and meal planning. Poor dad doesn’t remember he doesn’t have a car
For those of you who don’t know my parents are 94 (Dad) and 91(Mum) and they now live with Scott and I. They need help on a daily basis due to health reasons and age.
So I’ve decided to do some posts (on my Instagram) about looking after my parents. A lot of people take care of their ageing parents and I thought some posts about it might help other people who are doing the same. The little things you have to deal with and can sometimes be fun but also can sometimes be a challenge. If your interested pop over to my insta.

I’ve been quiet. Here’s the truth. Last year broke me in ways I didn’t know were possible. A radical hysterectomy that floored me. My son diagnosed with rare, aggressive testicular cancer. Finding my adopted father dead after a catastrophic medical episode-weeks after he passed.
@NathanEvanss My twin sister died 4 years ago and the next day I was driving to my parent’s to plan the funeral and thinking about what music to play. This record came on the radio and I knew straight away she would have loved it. She went to her happy place to be with all our passed dogs
‘Happy Place' music video is out now 🕊️ We found the perfect sunset spot on the hilltops of St Abbs Harbour for this one, it was cold but so so worth it!

In one week, it’ll be Veterans Day. A day to celebrate all those who have served our great nation. Im proud of my service, and I am proud of yours.
Drop your favorite photo of yourself in uniform in the comments! I want to see them all!
3am and talking to my sisters about power of attorney etc as 4 hours ago we discovered our step dad and his dog both dead in his flat, they had been for a while. The police have been amazing.
2025, what did Queen Elizabeth call it again, ‘annus horriblis’ I think it was?
@banbadmen I had surgery for the same reason in January. The 1st few weeks of recovery were rough and I had live in help, but 9 months on I forget I had the surgery. Look after yourself and take all the help you can get. Good luck.
Right, well this is legitimately rage-inducing shit… fair warning ⚠️
Firstly, to my badass group of X warriors who kept this entirely wrapped in complete secrecy: God knows how, but kudos to you all — I adore how you’ve respected my dignity and privacy through this time. Thank you my dear friends …
OK…. There is no easy way to say this, but I have a huge tumour in my uterus.
It’s been measured at 4.5 cm in size. I have been sick for months; pretty much every blood/cell test is off, and the side effects are - let’s just say - devastating. I am now popping 15 pills a day .. joy.
For years I was told by the medical world I was anxious, suffering from panic attacks - “calm down dear, have some (more) diazepam”… sssh, go away…
This summer I collapsed from cervical shock (new to me too) and was rushed to hospital where (finally, FINALLY) a specialist gynaecologist did an ultrasound; a ridiculously cheap scan that took 15 minutes at most and found this giant tumour.
I am now on the waiting list for urgent risky surgery because I have no choice. I *have* to take the risk or face the other alternative I cannot even mention.
Livelihood gone. Life enjoyment gone. Just trying not to bleed to death before I get on the surgeon’s table, not a joke.
If I need chemo/radiation beyond this then I can only imagine the impact on my life and family.
If this tumour eventually unalives me, I want my message to be the strongest possible: medical misogyny is killing women, daily.
If you’re going through this - be loud. Be that “obnoxious, hysterical unhinged” woman. They think that of us anyway, so it might just save your life.
Am I angry? I am fucking FURIOUS. Sure, the NHS is free but its cost me almost everything.
I am a mother, a breadwinner, a friend. I love my family. I have been on an emotional death spiral for months now because I wasn’t believed.
“Oh, heavy periods, pain, feeling dizzy, fast heart rate - pfft, woman, ssshhhhh, stop bothering us.” [internal screaming]
Women, revolt. Please.
Hi, Frens! Betty had her spleen removed last night, and has been recovering in the ICU. She has been diagnosed with metastatic hemangiosarcoma, which is a fancy way of saying stupid fu@ck!ing cancer. We are incredibly thankful for all of your love, light, and support. 💔❤️🐾
With the start of the week, Army Reserve soldiers from both #Ayr and #Edinburgh have taken time out to work with the Army Expo, which gets underway this morning.
