'My daughter was branded a terrorist' bbc.in/3YNR6sP

The psychologist I saw in LA has been flying survivors of 7 October to the USA for pioneering PTSD treatment. It’s an all-volunteer team and they need to fundraise to keep going. “I want to now help the Israelis who are seeing the most severe trauma that most people have ever seen. It’s multiple layers of trauma at once. It’s not just a rape. It’s a gang rape. It’s not just a gang rape of twelve people. It’s a gang rape of hundreds of people. It’s not just a murder. It’s a murder with watching your parents’ eyes gouged out while they’re still alive and their bodies burned alive. It’s not just the loss of a family member. It’s the loss of family members…and another family member who’s a hostage living in the tunnels someplace in Gaza.” You can support their work here: israelhealinginitiative.org

A dangerous example of excluding Jews and Israelis from academic life: Cultural Critique (@CulturalCritiq1) is an academic journal published by the University of Minnesota Press (@UMinnPress). It operates from within the University of Minnesota (@UMNews) - a *public* university funded by tax payers' money. Recently, this journal received a submission from an Israeli post-doc *in an American university*. His submission was rejected. His only crime? Having previous been associated with an Israeli university. All the editors and associate editors of this journal must be fired. Please share if you agree.

A story about Radio-Canada (perhaps CBC too). We held a private screening in Montreal of unreleased footage of the October 7 massacre in Israel. A few days after sending the invitations I received a mail from someone not invited from @RadioCanadaInfo. She thanked me for the invite but, she wrote, no one could attend as Radio Canada was busy that day. Someone not from Radio Canada, with no knowledge of the mail I had received, told me Radio Canada held some form of executive meeting and decided no-one from Radio Canada would participate in the screening. “They want to remain neutral” he told me (he called it a BS position). Another person, also not from Radio Canada, asked me why Radio Canada had not participated. I got the clear impression he too knew of Radio Canada’s decision to avoid exposure to significant and relevant material on a subject they are giving extensive coverage to. I replied to Radio Canada’s mail, suggesting they choose a day and time convenient and I would arrange a special screening for them. A week later I sent a reminder mail. Another week has passed and still no response. I can only conclude that the two people who made it clear to me that Radio Canada objected to viewing the unreleased footage were correct and the Radio Canada employee who politely told me they were busy at the time was just too embarrassed to be honest. I have been contacted by more than one Radio Canada journalist asking whether the rumour is true that Radio Canada “boycotted” the screening and asking whether I could invite them to a future screening. The offer remains - should Radio Canada wish to see significant and relevant material on a subject they are giving extensive coverage to, I will arrange a screening for them. (I invited @CBCNews journalists too. They simply didn’t respond to the invite.)

False & insidious claims that our schools teach hatred + that we have let the people of #Gaza down come from those who want @UNRWA to fail. They only fuel a toxic & deeply polarized environment . unrwa.org/newsroom/offic…

Linda Sarsour: "There are provocateurs all across the city" waiting for you to rip down "their little posters ...They have their little people all around the city...They are everywhere. They are on your college campus, they are outside the supermarket..." @lsarsour

It's almost four weeks since the horrific terrorist attack on #Israel. A lot has happened, the public debate has become heated and confused. Find thoughts from Vice-Chancellor Robert #Habeck in the video, putting the events in context. 📣With English, Hebrew and Arabic subtitles.

This beautiful woman is named Noa. She was taken hostage by Hamas during a music festival. Today is her 26th birthday. Her parents ask that we all wish her a happy birthday with the hope that maybe somehow these messages will reach her. Please share. #HappyBirthdayNoa
