At the middle of the Gadkari family's sprawling agro-business empire is Rembal Agro, a beef company that has quietly risen to international prominence. Rehan Ahmed Qureshi, a Nagpur resident who managed operations on the ground for Rembal, told The Caravan’s former staff writer, Kaushal Shroff, that he entered the business because he believed Gadkari’s ownership would offer a measure of safety.
In March 2022, one of the beef exporter’s trucks was seized by the Maharashtra police in Lonavala. The case left a large hole in Rehan’s pocket and he described going to the Gadkari household three or four times, to meet the minister’s son, Nikhil Gadkari. Each time, Nikhil gave him empty assurances. Rehan was cut loose, and disappointed. And here lies the issue. Nothing the Gadkaris are doing is patently illegal, apart from perhaps false advertising. But, while the companies’ owners derive steep profits from selling beef, which contributes the single largest portion of Rembal’s revenue, the histrionic cow-protection politics the Bharatiya Janata Party unleashed has ended up criminalising Muslim workers of their own enterprises.

#SupremeCourt CJI asked why are there so many SIR problems in Bengal, I urge our respected CJI to ask the same question to this man. Let him respond in his language - but will the nation understand his despair?
This man isn’t the problem, the system has deliberately created problems for him. And we don’t want him to speak out? Well, he can’t and I refuse to stay mute to such blatant injustice.

I don't think people understand the gravity of the situation as the UN is preparing for possible nuclear weapon use in Iran. This is a picture of Tehran. For you uneducated, untraveled, never-served, warhawks licking your chops at the thought of bombing it. It's not some low population desert. There are families, children, family pets. Regular working class people with dreams. You're sick to want war. Tehran is a city of nearly 10,000,000 people. Imagine nuking Washington, Berlin, Paris, London, or beyond, bombed with nuclear weapons. I gave up my diplomatic career to leak this information. I suspended my duties so as not to be part of or a witness to this crime against humanity, in an attempt to prevent a nuclear winter before it is too late. Yesterday, nearly ten million people protested “No Kings” in the United States. The possibility of the use of nuclear weapons must be taken very seriously. It's dangerous. Act now. Spread this message worldwide. Take the streets. Protest for our humanity and future. Only the people can stop it. History will remember us.

This scheme was announced in 2024-25 budget session. Already 1 lakh houses were built. 25,000 houses are already occupied by the beneficiaries Feb 2026.
The forerunner of this scheme was "Kalaignar veedu vazhangum thittam" announced in 2006-2011. Under that scheme 4 lakh houses were built & delivered.
This scheme was abandoned once ADMK came to power in 2011.
This scheme was revived by our honorable CM @mkstalin.

They voted 90% in favour of Adani.
Vedanta offered ₹17,000 crore.
Adani offered ₹14,535 crore.
Adani won.
Lenders recovered LESS.
So the government-controlled body, with government-guaranteed funds, handed a government-favoured conglomerate a distressed asset; at a DISCOUNT; over the higher bidder.
This isn’t a coincidence. This is a pattern.
Sterlite copper plant? Closed. Vedanta kept out.
