Yet, Japan signed any energy contract with U.S. not you. Your Prime Minister is a WEF Globalist and a joke trying to score points by visiting China, which fell from 19% of global economy to 16%. While, U.S. grew from 24% to now 26% of global GDP. Canada has so many more problems of its own and all they want you to do is redirect towards Trump 🤣

My Prime Minister didn’t insult her with some tasteless Pearl Harbor joke. Instead he impressed her with his ability to speak Japanese.

@financialjuice It’s a ruse again. We’re going to talk to them then likely seize Kharg because the Iranians won’t give into all the demands. End goal is still regime change.

@jrgoob @unusual_whales Can’t become a true superpower if you limit people’s freedoms and ally with Russia, North Korea, Venezuela, and Iran. The latter two of which they can’t even defend Sure, “super power”. What, next 100 years? Oh wait their population is also in decline. What a joke

@bulacha2 @unusual_whales China used to be 19% of global economy now it shrunk to 16%. What part of collapse don’t you understand? They have a $1.2 trillion “surplus”, a record but have worse employment problems. You’re probably too dumb to understand why 🤣 Jokes on you.

@jerald @robin_j_brooks What if the rest of the world were more concerned with rising energy costs and the economic damage than with eliminating every last terrorist? There are many in Iran, and they will never truly surrender. For them, the US is the ultimate evil. Enough with this war.

Headlines that the US is thinking about taking Kharg island are pushing up Brent (lhs) and causing stocks to tank (rhs). Taking Kharg doesn't reopen the Strait and could turn into a fiasco. Better to embargo Iranian oil and force the Strait open that way. robinjbrooks.substack.com/p/embargo-iran

Now, with urgency the Iranian protestors have their chance. If they don’t stand up, then don’t expect the U.S. to come to their aid when the regime starts killing you again. It’s either you rise up with Israeli and American forces behind you, or you do nothing. The time is now and if Iranians do not find the courage to step up to overthrow this terrorist regime and take your country into a new direction, then there is no more hope for you.

@Ippang_C @golub @Kasparov63 God, do you know how much of a slap in the face what Putin did to Iran? He’s signaling you are expendable and served your purpose. You know, that’s what real bad guys do. Use and abuse.

Trump broke no law. They tried to frame it that way. Trump wanted to expose the corruption that Democrats do. Like Hunter Biden his son with no relevant energy or natural gas experience but mainly DC connections go him on the board of Burisma. Listen, I’m going to get real tired talking to you if you keep parroting the same talking points people like you do over and over again. You obviously are an amateur and don’t know how politics or business works and the dirty side of things. How about you stay naive and believe in all the cute little things they want you to believe? At least you’ll be happy and always think you know you’re right.

@jerald @golub @Kasparov63 Maybe Trump should not have gone and broke the law? But I understand MAGA, breaking the law is not a problem. However, it shows no matter how much we help USA, we can be f***ed because your president slept bad. Why waste time then? Putin backstabs him and is beloved.

Allies that don’t show up when it matters aren’t really allies. That’s the point Trump was making, exposing countries that expect the U.S. to carry the burden while they sit back or criticize. If they’re so committed, why weren’t they leading in Ukraine instead of saying we weren’t doing enough? Everyone “stood with Ukraine,” but not everyone stepped up equally. Anyone willing to set partisanship aside can see that.

The flaw in that argument is simple: the problem already exists. An entire generation of terrorists has already been created, armed, and trained by the ayatollahs and the IRGC. Hezbollah, the Houthis, Iraqi militias, Hamas .. this infrastructure wasn’t born out of a major war. It was built deliberately, over decades, in relative calm. Hundreds of thousands of fighters - over 700,000 by some estimates - didn’t just appear overnight. They were cultivated. So the idea that confronting the problem now will somehow “create more of it” misses the point entirely. That’s like arguing you shouldn’t deal with a rat infestation because it might lead to more rats. The infestation is already there.
Christiane Amanpour@amanpour

“We are manufacturing a whole new generation of terrorists in the Middle East,” former U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel tells me, saying the Trump administration's conduct of its war in Iran appears to him unprecedented.
