4 people unfollowed me since I posted about the IOC ruling. I do not care! I will stand for the rights of Women & girls, my daughter, neices, sisters in law & every Woman I know, those I will never know, now & for as long as I live. Always!❤ We won a battle, the war still rages.

@authenticWMN @AnneSelf2 @Mr_Husky1 That's not true, you own everything you've made or bought in the marriage. Look it up
English

@AnneSelf2 @Mr_Husky1 I also have my own bank account and have been married for 20 years. And ifI divorce, my spouse will get half. It’s nothing to do with separate bank accountsZ
English

I’m about to get married, and my fiancé knows I have an inheritance that was left to me by my grandparents. It’s in my name only, and I’ve been saving it for years. Now he’s saying that before we get married, I should put the entire inheritance into a joint account so we can “start fresh together,” or he doesn’t think we should go through with the wedding. I’m 36 already and this is something my family worked hard to leave me. I’m torn between wanting to build a life together and feeling like I’m being pressured to give up something important to me. What do you think I should do?

@NwaAdaIgbo1 @chi_quiero That's the best one, the second is too plain and the last two are too fussy.

@spizzle29 @thechosenberg Yeah I wrote a love letter to my ex once!
English

@thechosenberg Stifling your spouse’s whimsy and acts of love are a smart way to speedrun a failed marriage and a dead soul.

@AmachreeBomate @MadelaineLucyH Men are luxuries, kitties are necessities
English

The 'traditional' dream was designed to keep us small, quiet, and busy in a kitchen while he chased the world. A ring is often just a handcuff disguised as jewelry. We’ve seen so many brilliant women dim their lights just to fit into a man’s shadow, only to realize that once they stopped waiting for a proposal, they actually started building empires. If he didn't choose you, he literally did you a favor by staying out of the way of your greatness. A man is a luxury, not a necessity.
English

Do you know what you do when a man doesn’t marry you? As in, what the women in my life have done when the man they loved never chose them?
They started charities and start ups. Invented products, IPs, apps. Moved to Italy and ran a villa retreat. Explored rainforests and climbed mountains. Learnt to code, adopted children, became amazing chefs. Took lovers whenever they wanted and saw the world. Campaigned and lobbied and protested for the change we needed. Taught the next generation of curious minds.
Do not fear a ringless hand.
Fear the ring that stops you living.

If men stop marrying, women will panic…

@Elainebks @RVAwonk Not quite - it's not a concentrated syrup that you add to water. It's usually a juiced orange concentrate that has had some of the water taken out of it, and then it's added to water - sometimes it's purely juiced fruit. It's a lot fresher and more wholesome than the UK variety
English

@RVAwonk Is “juice” in the States what in UK we call Squash?
English

One time when I was on vacation with some family and heavily pregnant, I had just finished drinking a small glass of low-sugar orange juice and I went back to the refrigerator to get more, and my family member said “are you sure you really want a 2nd glass? That’s a lot of sugar.”
Several years later, I still think about this every time I see orange juice. First of all, it was fucking reduced-sugar juice. Secondly, I was heavily pregnant and the only things I consumed for 9 months were fruit, yogurt, smoothies, and juice because everything else smelled spoiled or burned and made me gag (I had COVID early in pregnancy). I gained a total of 20 lbs, I wasn’t exactly going wild. But above all, I would just really like to know what has to go wrong in your life, and in your brain, to even get to the point of failing to discern whether or not you should try to shame a pregnant woman for drinking juice. These people are everywhere, though, and we all know them.

@ValerieC_TX @Joe_Public2018 @kirawontmiss He drained every account we had when he left. I had £60 to live on for the month. Still insisted that I reimburse his mother for monies she gave me. I am still so angry at him twelve years later. And I had to take care of all the paperwork.
English

@ValerieC_TX @Joe_Public2018 @kirawontmiss My ex hurt me a few times. I should have gone to the police after the last incident. But when he cheated on me I threw him out of the house. Told all his friends and family. And then *I* had to take care of the divorce. £400 or so pounds I'm never getting back /1
English

@Joe_Public2018 @ValerieC_TX @kirawontmiss Men are two fucking lazy to file for divorce. They'll cheat on you and leave and never file, leaving you to mop up their mess. Ask me how I know
English

@ValerieC_TX @kirawontmiss Women initiate 80% of all divorces.
Buuuuurn.

@bogumil_psikuta @PhilMitchell83 As a teenaged girl asked about immature boys, I'd have said similar things. Boys bullied and hurt me and sexually harrassed me constantly. But, if it was about my father, I would have said he was handy, protective, supportive. Similar about male teachers and my older brother.
English

@PhilMitchell83 Looks like girls are taught to hate boys, not a single positive trait like handy, protective, helpful
English

@RzltzNotTypical @interesting_aIl Yes my -4.5 looks like the -8 here but with a much harsher "wall" where everything is pretty much lumps of colour outside of a certain radius.
English

@interesting_aIl It’s impossible to simulate what myopia looks like--especially in 2D. Objects up close remain clear, but things get gradually more blurry the farther away. And it isn't a soft blur like an out-of-focus lens. It's a harsher, fractured, distorted kind of blurry.
English

@MadelaineLucyH You need to add one that shows naturally blonde hair (a medium blonde) against chemical blonde. I have medium blonde hair and people tell me I have brown hair because they're so used to chemically lightened hair.
