@davidfowl We deploy independent apps (mobile and web) from a monorepo. I want to move towards doing services/lambdas too, but no time to invest in the tooling yet. We use @nrwl_io (nx) and @buildkite with dynamic pipelines for deploying affected only

@FerryColum @THEjoezack GQL Schema validation of the returned data (from a resolver) made up 20-40% of the total execution time. In fairness, this was most obvious for unreasonably large payloads.

@chendo Ah sorry thought you meant next week. I've just got back to Sydney from a month in Brisbane. Glad to see you got to Nomad, hope you've had a good trip

@bairdjulia For his 10th birthday, I got a Harry Potter-loving mate Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials. Once he get through the first half of Book 1, he was racing. Also a beaut way to talk about philosophy, religion and ethics. And the HBO/BBC adaptation is really decent.

Anyone have any reading tips for a 12 year old boy who loved the Hunger Games & Harry Potter and drinks up science and weird facts on Youtube?

What keyboard are you all using? ⌨️🤔 Stock/built-in/Apple keyboards are 100% fine too. I’m still proud of you.

@bjeanes @riblah Congratulations! We went with Suncorp and they were reasonably priced, but we had some weird requirements due to Sydney house prices

@FerryColum And a DB WHERE will win in most scenarios where it fits, because it's not sending redundant data over a wire either

@FerryColum We've definitely found ourselves in situations where these optimisations make a difference, sometimes even using classic for loops over for:of can too. Normally indicates a bigger problem around design though
