Absolutely brutal subscription anti-pattern used by @EducativeInc. You must sign up for auto-renewal to get access, and there is no reminder prior to being charged. Lesson for us SaaS companies looking to prioritize customer experience vs. counting on folks to forget things.

Downloading YouTube videos (for transcribing) is proving much more complicated than I'd have imagined. They *really* don't want you downloading the video files...

@JonathanAbrams I love the idea of a "third place" where people can hang out and talk and research ideas. Kind of like salons in the days of old. Libraries are so well positioned for something like that, or coworking spaces. They need to stay relevant.

Libraries are the best. I feel like they don’t get nearly enough credit. That’s all.

@rmcastil It's easier to say this to someone you don't know. If it's a "friend" who is asking for help, some may not have the ability to advocate for themselves or the knowledge of what healthy boundaries are. Hope your thread helps someone see if they are taken advantage of.
