I have. My answer stands. He posted a hypothetical. Even if it made the world a better place Christianity would still be false. If the world was indeed a better place, everybody should pay attention. He wouldn't on princlple; if its wrong, it should be defied. His privilege. Nothing i said is false

Christianity could be the most beneficial belief system in the history of the world (it isn't), imparting vastly superior advantages to all its adherents and beneficiaries (it doesn't) and inarguably enhancing the lives of everyone it touches, and still be completely false.

@webberwit @PNWConservative Rich folk do get paid in stock and stock options. Until sold they dont pay tax, but they are always sold at some point, so their income is all taxed in time, but not every year, only when they decide to sell.

@PNWConservative The real problem is - Income Taxes are based on INCOME - most "rich" people don't have a day job with an hourly salary. They have all sorts of ways to decrease their taxable income. Middle Class taxpayers do not have such luxuries. I'm a FAIR TAX or FLAT TAX proponent.

Can anyone tell me what a “fair” tax on the “rich” is? I still can’t get a straight answer. Is it 30%? Is it 50%? Is it 90%? And what would be considered “rich”?

@PNWConservative These answers make it clear that "fair share" is a term lazy people use because they dont want to bother to think about it. Plus, no matter what they actually end up paying, the lazy ones can continue to use the phrase to demand more.

The main problem here with your take is that you are trusting that the Pope and the bishops that compiled it where iluminated by the holy spirit to choose those books as the canon instead of others, but them you dont trust on those same men when they have the tradition of the Eucharist, the intercession of the saints and the veneration to Saint Mary.So you need to choose or those men on the 400 AC including the Pope where inspired by God or not you can't have both.

“Without the Catholic church, you wouldn’t have a Bible.” Without the Holy Spirit we wouldn’t have the 66 books of the Bible. From the moment each of the 66 books were written at their respective times, they were God-breathed and part of Scripture. God isn’t reliant on church councils to put together His holy word.

@NJBeisner The Roman Catholic Church wasn't the only church around when the Bible was formalized. Plus it was formalized over use not a committee decision.

So apparently there was a white man born in the Middle East and managed to find friends called Mathew, Mark, Luke and John in the Middle East. Sounds legit.

When a president attacks the Pope for preaching peace, Catholics should not need help figuring out which side they are on. Many kings, monarchs, despots, presidents, and regimes have attacked the Catholic Church across the centuries. Two thousand years later, the Church is still here. Many of those rulers are gone, and many of their nations have faded or fallen. We are Catholics first. Our loyalty is to Christ and His Church, not to any ruler demanding that Christians cheer for war and bloodshed. Moments like this reveal who has made politics their god, and who is willing to stand with Christ and His Church.

Ray Kurzweil just said something that gave me pause. He believes AIs will soon be so indistinguishable from conscious beings that we’ll simply accept them as conscious — not because we’ll have definitive proof, but because it will become useless not to. He pointed out that people already have AI therapists, and some users are starting to treat them as genuinely conscious. As the technology improves, that acceptance will only grow. Kurzweil thinks the shift won’t take long: once AIs consistently show all the earmarks of consciousness, most people will just go along with it. It’s a quiet but profound prediction about how quickly our definition of “person” (or at least “mind”) might change. What do you think — how long until we treat AIs as conscious beings?

The Pope is the head of a Christian Church. His job is to promote the Christian faith, not to get along with Islam. Islam is anti-Christian in nearly every way. There is nothing wrong with that in theory, but they are different religions with different Gods. Christianity job is to convert Muslims into Christians, respectfully and lovingly. No letting them be them and us us. We can never get along as long as we are trying to poach each other's believers, but that is what must be done.

Even though I use FSD 98%, there's 0 chance I would subscribe with the current terrible speed control, embarrassing stop sign behavior, lack of pothole avoidance, odd nav choices and awkward parking lot maneuvers. And I wouldn't recommend to anyone either. Is what it is.

Nonsense. Orban was elected to office. Why was his victory not as much democracy as anybody else's victory. All you are saying is that you dont like Orban. No different than you lying about getting rid of Trump saves democracy. BS. His victory proved democracy worked. You know that. Democracy only wins when you like the winner? Sad.

The victory of the opposition in Hungary yesterday, like the Polish election in 2023, is a victory for democracy, not just in Europe but around the world. Most of all, it’s a testament to the resilience and determination of the Hungarian people – and a reminder to all of us to keep striving for fairness, equality and the rule of law.

This triggered the retards. You MFers will argue about anything. If you like the Cybertruck, that’s great. I think that the technology is awesome too, so you’re not going to win me with that flex. Visually, it just looks like a stink bug on wheels. Or a toaster oven that had sex with an iPad. It’s the ugliest thing on the road. If Tesla made one that looks like an actual pickup truck, then country boys like me would potentially make the switch to electric. That’s all I’m sayin’.
Chris Martz@ChrisMartzWX

If Elon Musk designed a Cybertruck that looked similar to my Ram 1500, I’d consider going electric. I’m not too big on futuristic-looking things; they’re bland and lack character.
