This creates a large opportunity for virtual care companies aiming to manage the total cost of care. Navigating to facilities with lower sites of service can produce considerable savings -- far more savings than focusing on utilization alone.

Price is *the* driver of healthcare costs in the USA - not utilization. A large amount of healthcare cost (& variability) is driven by the cost of hospital prices (1.8x-2.4x Medicare) compared to physician prices (1.2x-1.4x).
