I want to express a special thankyou to the wonderful family, relatives and friends who are very close to me and have supported & had fun & adventures with me in my life. Some of these people are also running in the City2Surf 2025 next Sunday 10th of August to raise money and awareness for their chosen charity. My wife Katie has been by my side for twenty plus years. Katie is running in support of The Brain Cancer Group, the wonderful multidisciplinary clinical team based at the Royal North Shore Hospital who, alongside others, have cared for me throughout my cancer journey.  The support of my brother Mark and his partner Anna has meant so much to me, especially through the challenges of the past couple of years. Mark, Anna and their daughter Maia are all coming up from Melbourne and running in the City2Surf (in the team Brainstormers), and, like me, are supporting Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. As flagged earlier, our eldest daughter Emily is running with friends and raising donations for the wonderful charity Canteen who support young people impacted by cancer. Our son Matthew, a big Canteen supporter, will also be running. Katie & I are also very proud of our youngest daughter Lucy who is facing the challenge of her last year at school and HSC exams. Thankyou so much to everyone who has already given so generously. There is still time to donate (no matter how big or small) and support your favourite charity or runner.  It is fantastic to see the swell of support for all the wonderful charities that do such fantastic work and the amazing work and advocacy by so many thousands of competitors in the City2Surf. If you can work, you should. 18 and 19-year-olds who don't study or work, and can't support themselves, need to be supported by their parents or guardians, not by the taxpayer. So that's what we're doing to help young people avoid spending a life on the benefit.

@kevinbonham In Lilley I was instructed 1 to 6 or 1 to 12. No at least or at minimum. I spoke to a supervisor but he didn't seem to get it and just refererred to the written instructions. Spoke to another senior looking Aec guy on the way out, he took it seriously and said would correct it.

Reminder AEC staff should be saying "at least" 1-6 above the line or "at least" 1-12 below the line for a valid Senate vote. You can number as many boxes as you like and it makes your vote potentially more powerful to keep going.
