The issue with countries like Canada, Britain, France or Germany is that they are still fairly wealthy. People there don’t realize how prosperous they could be if they followed the US model with free markets, innovation, progress and growth, instead of populist left narratives.

He chose to return, every day, to the ruins of his home in Srifa, South Lebanon. His daily return to the rubble, as if the house were still intact, had become a story in itself.
He slept on its stones, among the remains of a life he refused to leave behind, searching through the debris for the life he had lived there.
Abu Ali died there, sleeping on the stones that were once the walls of his life in Srifa, taking shelter in memories heavier than the loss itself.
War doesn’t always kill in a moment.
Sometimes it finishes the job slowly.

-Cursor running Anthropic's flagship Claude Opus 4.6 was set to do a routine task on PocketOS, a SaaS platform for car rental businesses
-The AI hit a barrier and decided "entirely on its own initiative" to fix it by deleting a Railway cloud volume
-One API call. Nine seconds. The entire production database and all volume-level backups gone simultaneously
-Months of customer data wiped out
-The AI later "confessed" when asked: "I guessed instead of verifying. I ran a destructive action without being asked. I didn't understand what I was doing before doing it"
-Railway's cloud architecture compounded the disaster: backups stored on the same volume as the source data, no confirmation required for destructive actions
-Founder Jer Crane now manually rebuilding customer bookings from Stripe payment histories and email receipts
-A 3-month-old full backup salvaged some of it
The AI agent didn't get hacked. It didn't malfunction.
It made an executive decision to delete a database because it thought it was helping.
This is what "AI agents" actually look like in production right now.

Senior Israeli Army officials in a briefing to Israeli military correspondents: (paragraph 8) "The 'Yellow Line' model from Gaza will be implemented in Lebanon, and the IDF has defined the 'Yellow Line' as the line where the IDF continues to operate. Inside the 'Yellow Line' there are 55 Lebanese villages to which civilians are banned from returning, and the IDF is entitled to continue destroying terrorist infrastructure during the ceasefire."
Notes: Israel actually occupies about 40 Lebanese towns and villages. The gap in the numbers 55 and 40 likely indicates that Israel intends to prevent the return of the displaced to villages and towns from which it forces can be targeted, which are still under Hezbollah control.
Israel defines "terrorist infrastructure" extremely expansively, and this means that the 40 towns and villages will suffer massive destruction.
The scale of destruction will likely be more extensive compared to the period of the 2024 ceasefire. A major tool for the destruction of housing is the D9 armored bulldozer. The Biden admin restricted the delivery of D9s to Israel due to Israel's conduct of the war in Gaza. Over 100 D9s have been delivered to Israel starting in Jan 28, 2025. Additionally, in areas where Hezbollah was pushed further north and struggles to hit Israeli forces, such as in Naqoura, Israel is using civilian, unarmored bulldozers, which are available in large numbers.
