@Oxygen_Token Amazing. I have noticed quite a few bees lying around on pavements and the road recently. It seems they are struggling as well.

Scientists have just discovered that bumblebees accumulate up to seven times more toxic metals than honeybees. Even when both species forage side by side in the same landscape, bumblebees absorb far higher concentrations of toxic metals. Researchers found arsenic, cadmium, lead, and other heavy metals in the pollen collected by bumblebees in rural Cambridgeshire, an area considered to have relatively low levels of contamination. These pollutants don’t always kill immediately. They weaken bees, impair their ability to forage, and reduce their reproductive success. Because bumblebee colonies are much smaller than honeybee colonies, even small losses can have devastating effects. Bumblebees are among the world’s most important pollinators, supporting both wild ecosystems and many of the crops we rely on. If toxic metals are accumulating in pollinators where we consider the countryside “clean,” pollution is reaching much further than we think. The health of our ecosystems is often written first in the species that keep them alive. [Source: University of Cambridge, Ecological Entomology, July 2026.]

@janwe So many drama queens writing about this. The more you overreact the more people will want to see it.

Why a casting choice over a Greek poem sets off a reaction the size of a small war.

It’s wild to think we probably could’ve tackled climate change decades ago without sacrificing economic growth. The only real difference is that a handful of oil executives wouldn’t have become quite as insanely rich.

@TheRestHistory This won't work on the general public who have rejected Christopher Nolan's woke & dei bollox. May the Hollywood producers & backers lose all that $ money they put into this film.

The Odyssey releases on the 17th of July, and I do not want a single one of you watching it. Christopher Nolan has desecrated one of Europe’s foundational myths. This film deserves to fail. Do not give it your money!

@DiscussingFilm These are three reasons why people are criticizing the film the Odyssey. These criticisms are valid because everyone notices the pattern.

Christopher Nolan says Batman prepared him for the online backlash that ‘THE ODYSSEY’ has received. “I spent 10 years of my life dealing with Batman… What you have to do is honour the original text by interpreting it in the strongest way you personally can.” (Source: telegraph.co.uk/films/2026/07/…)

@_breakspears I do wonder if Baelor actually knew what Aerion had done to Egg. I am guessing he would have told Daeron, but certainly not his dad or uncle. That's why to me if he did know about it, he should not have been so harsh in that moment.

@Uc_heyy02 It's the system that's too blame though, as well. Even a King is limited in what he can change when the system which exists is so loaded on the side of those big Lords. Look at the end of the main show, when everyone is grabbing what they can, at the meeting they have.

The tragedy of Egg Targaryen is that he failed to make his reforms survive him even though he cared about the small folk He grew up among common people, passed laws that gave them more rights, and even forced lords to provide food during harsh winters. But almost everything he built was undone after his death. A king isn’t judged only by the laws he passes. He’s judged by whether those laws outlive his reign. That’s why I’ve always thought Egg was one of Westeros’ most admirable men but not necessarily one of its greatest kings. Would you rather have a ruler with the right intentions, or one whose changes actually last?

..Known by the majority of human civilization as natural sea fog The air is warm with elevated humidity early morning..moving across a relatively warm though cooler sea..the sea tries cooling the air down to its temperature but once the dew point is reached fog forms Simples
