As of today, Florida SNAP recipients can’t buy soda or candy because God forbid we allow a single mom and her kids a few moments of happiness at the end of the day. 😡

UPDATE: The NCAA DI Cabinet will hold a further discussion on age-based eligibility later today. This idea would essentially eliminate redshirts and give college athletes five years of eligibility starting when you graduate high school or when you turn 19. Whichever is earlier.

The President is unwell and he is deteriorating daily. His recent ravings and outrageous social media posts point to a man who is "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office." @0Beanie05923291 I had friends ask me if I would ever homeschool my kids; I said “no.” Six months later I was homeschooling one of them. I am glad I did. He was an Academic All-American in college.

When she begged me to let her be homeschooled for high school I refused. I was worried she’d hide out in her bedroom all day and get weird. I had been a public school teacher and advocate. I wasn’t a homeschool parent. After watching yet another blood-boiling, unproductive virtual school board meeting in February 2021, I agreed to let her try it. I was nervous. I didn’t know it then, but she had already reached out to a neighbor (via snail mail) about helping out with her horses and had big plans for the future. My daughter graduated almost a year early from high school, had lots of time to earn money to pay for a car and dog, and plenty of opportunities learn more about her hobby. Today, she’s the proud owner of these guys with quite a following on TikTok (over 50k) where she shares the day-to-day routine of caring for animals. I’m not saying homeschooling is for everyone, but I encourage parents not to be too quick to dismiss the opportunities that it might open up for their children that the traditional path may not.

@NinaPanickssery @Yahskapar My children live in three different states (each coast & in middle). My husband & I moved south five years ago to help care for my parents before we were grandparents. As long as my mother is living (my dad passed), we will be where we are (we are also not retired).

A birth certificate AND your marriage license. If you changed your name after you got married, like the First Lady, the 'SAVE America Act' will demand you provide BOTH documents in order to prove your identity and vote in the next election if you don’t have a passport.

I've never seen a basketball game this biased. The announcers are having literal orgasms every time Miami scores. They haven't even mentioned SMU yet and we're already 13 minutes into the game. I'm serious. I haven't heard a word about SMU. Like what are we doing. I've never heard announcers sound so disappointed over a missed basket or foul than when Miami does it. This is so annoying.

@SenMarkKelly The necessary documents are ones that should already be in a person’s possession. If someone is missing these documents, this is a great reminder that they need to obtain them. It is not a difficult process. Do you think that US citizens of voting age are too stupid to get them?

The SAVE America Act doesn’t “Save” America. And this isn’t about voter ID. This bill requires everyone to re-register to vote in person and your driver’s license, REAL ID, or military ID aren’t even good enough. Imagine all of our seniors who don’t have valid passports and haven’t seen their birth certificates in decades? What about them? How hard will it be for them to register? And how do they get a passport if they can’t find their birth certificates? And what about the cost? If this becomes law, it will disenfranchise many Americans.
