For Iran Israel’s massive escalation in Lebanon is indication that Trump cannot be trusted. Even before talks started Tehran believes he has gone back on one item of ceasefire agreement. In addition it has shown that US cannot control Israel. That changes the context, goals and expectations for a potential agreement in Islamabad.
