I remember a while back I said that if you make over $200k a a year and still mow your own lawn, you're doing it wrong. Now that the average quote I'm getting for my lawn is $400 a month, I think I'm changing my mind on that statement. What are folks running for lawnmowing equipment on a 1 acre mow these days?

@realfrugalmogul If you live in Back Bay it can be expensive. MA has low state income tax of 5.25%, reasonable priced homes in good towns (not high end towns) 40 minutes from the city, and real estate taxes not crazy like Jersey.

I understand California being a high cost of living area. It’s nice weather year round and beautiful. But why does my Boston have to be top 3 cost of living in the US? You need a winter coat 8 months of the year!
