You guys can all go paint a pretty picture of George Gervin’s career and call me an NBA casual… I am. 😉 I don’t apologize for not knowing about a player whose prime was in the 70s when I was born in the early 80s and I didn’t start watching the NBA until like 1988. A sport I played one season recreationally. The point stands. If Caleb Williams and his team win the trademark…then too bad for bad business on Gervin’s team. Glad he was a great player. Not sure why the uproar in regards to Caleb Williams attempting to make a business decision that it sounds like Gervin should have attempted before. Being a youth baseball parent is hard.
My 7-year-old loves the game—wants to train all the time.
Talked to a dad whose son just went through the travel ball gauntlet… all the names, programs, connections.
Felt the FOMO…
Then it hit me—we don’t need to chase everything.
We just need to enjoy the game and let them grow.
Any advice?

Go to that baseball game alone. Treat yourself to that good seat with the perfect view. Make friends with the strangers around you. You won’t regret it. Life is too short to wait for others to do things that will make you happy.

All these fast food restaurants closing down locations because they lost the plot. A combo meal from a fast food restaurant was never meant to be more than $7. Once they started creeping up towards $10 for a combo, they entered fast casual territory which is Chili's/Applebee's.
