@WallStreetApes maybe we should think about addressing the fraud in Minnesota and Ca before dumping on vets who legally use the benefits available to them

@synthenergy @bernie_packard1 @BlackBlessedLDS @RST_0fficial …and my life that I can hardly to tell others what to do with theirs. And at the end of the day people are welcome to choose to do what works for them. In other words, if you want to talk about whether or not the church’s claims are true, I’m happy to ruthlessly dissect the…

@AaronAsher11 @bernie_packard1 @Mar46706930 @RST_0fficial There is ample evidence that moral behavior is orthogonal to religious belief. There are “good” atheists and there are “bad” atheists. The same goes for religious people. I’ve seen little evidence that either group has a corner on the market of morality. What’s more, a person…

@synthenergy @bernie_packard1 @BlackBlessedLDS @RST_0fficial …the very thin possibility that it’s actually true, just as I acknowledge the possibility that Thor is real and Santa could be real. All highly unlikely, but arguably possible. It’s even possible that our understanding of the laws of physics are horribly mistaken and yet…

@AaronAsher11 @bernie_packard1 @Mar46706930 @RST_0fficial Can you point to evidence that a lack of belief in God makes someone “less moral”? Scandinavia is full of atheists, more than half the population, yet this is not a society which has collapsed into immorality and lawlessness. In fact the biggest problems they’ve been having of…

@jinxidoru @BlackBlessedLDS @RST_0fficial You left because you believe it’s not true. Not because it objectively isn’t true, There’s a difference. I’m happy for you. I hope you keep finding great fulfillment in your life. Like I said, I’m not judging you. You have your reasons for leaving and I didn’t live your life.

@DefiantLs Trade. Without government enforcement of contracts it would be very hard to do business. This is why in countries with weak governments people only do business with family and friends. The US government provides a framework that makes strangers willing to engage in trade.

@jinxidoru @RST_0fficial yeah, I wouldn’t think that he was surprised. I’m just guessing he wanted to make a point. maybe wanted the church to try to justify the excommunication. Similar situation with Jeremy Runnels, as I understand it

@NoDisassemble5 @RST_0fficial I just think that’s silly. He’s actively fighting against the LDS Church. Why should he be surprised that the church doesn’t want him to be able to say he’s a member? The church doesn’t give a shit about free speech.

@jinxidoru @RST_0fficial I don’t remember all that well or maybe I didn’t pay that close attention. I wondered if maybe he was trying to make a point that the LDS church didn’t have just cause for excommunicating him solely for airing dirty laundry. which would feel like a violation of free speech

@jinxidoru @BlackBlessedLDS @RST_0fficial Your intuition is right, at least I think it is. Appreciate your honesty about the church and still being objective. I’m sure you know, if you ever desired to come back you’ll be welcomed with open arms. If you don’t ever come back, I’ve got no judgement.
