@jinxidoru @RST_0fficial I don't have any expectations. Just making the invitation. Was there a time when you felt close to God and His Son and at home in the church?

Based dad - Aware of the shame she already undoubtedly had - Presence of mind not to jump on her about it but acknowledge “this wasn’t how you expected your sophomore year of BYU to end.” - Still invited her to worship with them and taught true principles surrounding that invite He didn’t minimize the situation but acknowledged it, loved her, invited her, and taught her more correct principles to apply in her life. Imo, he embodied 3 Nephi 18:32 - “Nevertheless, ye shall not cast him out of your synagogues, or your places of worship, for unto such shall ye continue to minister; for ye know not but what they will return and repent, and come unto me with full purpose of heart, and I shall heal them; and ye shall be the means of bringing salvation unto them.” Now she’s sharing this as a faithful member on social media. Well done, dad 👏🏾

If we took the following and used them as names for the Savior, do we think they would be “cringe,” clunky, weird, etc? - Builder of Faith - Messenger of Hope - Gatherer of Light These are excellent examples of Christlike devotion and discipleship. And yet some think they’re not very good for young women’s group names because… well honestly I can’t fully understand why. I am loving this change more and more the longer I ponder it. This change for the young women’s groups truly is something that came about through revelation. “Each of these names carries meaning and responsibility for God’s precious daughters. These names are foundational to the Young Women program; their roots point back to names the girls used in the early 1900s. The names also reflect the strength of women captured in each verse of ‘As Sisters in Zion,’ a favorite song sung at FSY conferences around the world. Founded in scripture, each name points to Jesus Christ and His attributes.” Emily Belle Freeman, Young Women General President

I’ve seen the memes (funny!) and little criticisms (unnecessary) about these new monikers, but let’s be honest. Can you think of anything you’d want our young women to aspire to be as much as these? The old names were for earlier times (“Mutual Improvement Association …. Maids.” Mkay.) And then there were no aspirational titles at all. Personally, I look forward to a rising generation of mighty women who build faith, deliver hope, and gather light. What a gift we have in the programs of this Church. 🏆😊💪

The First Presidency has announced new age-group names for young women—names that reflect their identity, growth, and purpose. The new age-group names are: • Builders of Faith (young women turning 12 or 13) • Messengers of Hope (young women turning 14 or 15) • Gatherers of Light (young women turning 16 or older) Young Women General President Emily Belle Freeman said the spiritual significance of the names became especially clear to her during a recent visit with young women in Tahiti. “As the girls sang, I was inspired to think of these covenant-keeping young women whose purpose and mission would be to build faith, share hope, and gather and reflect light around the world,” President Freeman said. “My eyes teared up as I realized the Spirit had been leading this process all along, inspiring names of faith, hope, and light that would help God’s daughters live as disciples of Christ and prepare them to enter a lifelong sisterhood of charity—the Relief Society.” Learn more by visiting the link below: newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/young-…

Ok, peeps. No poll. Just good ol’ responses. Where do you think the Jazz pick? I think they end up with the 4th pick. No sarcasm. No wishing. Ok, you can do either. But, I really do want to know where you think they end up. Hit me up with your thoughts.

A less active family visited the St. George Temple on the way to Disneyland. During that brief visit a 13 year old boy climbed the steps of the temple. At that moment the Lord lifted him from the path he was on & placed him on the covenant path. Forever grateful for that day.

This is why you never give up or celebrate too early. This guy won the Delaware Marathon by finishing strong while the runner ahead of him was already celebrating, thinking he had it won. Insane.

A Marvelous Work 🔥 Bobby Clayson
I was once called to be the executive secretary for my ward by a high councilman FROM THE STAND. 😆 He had received my name as a recommendation earlier that day and had misunderstood and thought that it had been approved and the call already extended. So he called for my sustaining. A member of the stake presidency was thankfully on the stand, and right before the sustaining, took over the microphone and gently explained the mistake and that the call had not been extended yet. He then turned to me, and in front of the whole congregation said, "Brother Clayson, will accept the position of executive secretary?" The whole ward laughed, I said "yes!" and then the High councilman continued with the sustaining. It ended up being an extraordinarily important calling for me and a blessing during an extremely hard time in my life.
