@DanielvsBabylon According to John 1, Christ is the Word of God, not the Bible. Also, any modern translation of the Bible that isn't in Hebrew or Greek is technically an edited version of the original scriptures

@DanielvsBabylon whoa holup it has some hiccups, which one? I believe in God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I believe they'll help us make sense of any flaws versions have

@DanielvsBabylon There is nothing in the new testament that contradicts orthodox Christian belief. Except the long ending of Mark. Picking up snakes and drinking poison would be putting God to foolish tests. But the long ending is a known interpolation and shouldn't be there. That is all.

@DanielvsBabylon I believe the Bible is God’s Word. But be intellectually honest. We can’t fully understand it raw through interlinear. Which is why we have translations, which are inherently edited… which are often fallible due to mistranslation, which effects doctrine. WE are the problem.

@DanielvsBabylon I'm sorry you are such a hardliner that you have bought into this doctrine of its own. Now if you want to converse in meaningful dialog I would love to have the chance to show you something much deeper.

Free speech needs to be limited ASAP. As an educated person I should have more rights to speech than other less educated people. This makes perfect sense and should be the norm. Sick of hearing morons give their opinions

Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.

I’m about to get married, and my fiancé knows I have an inheritance that was left to me by my grandparents. It’s in my name only, and I’ve been saving it for years. Now he’s saying that before we get married, I should put the entire inheritance into a joint account so we can “start fresh together,” or he doesn’t think we should go through with the wedding. I’m 33 already and this is something my family worked hard to leave me. I’m torn between wanting to build a life together and feeling like I’m being pressured to give up something important to me. What do you think I should do?

Sigh, and that logic proves the inaccuracy of your own statement. Translations of translations. Now if you want to engage in meaningful dialect and have a real discussion rather than just parroting what others before you have taught you, I would love to have a real discussion with you about your stance. And you are completely welcome to have that stance. But claiming the KJV was completely infallible ... I would back off of that language a bit. Again choice is yours, if you can be patient and listen I would love to show you how to get even MORE meaning from your beloved version.

The King James Bible is 100% accurate. I don’t need an easy reading perversion Bible to understand the word of God. The same Holy Ghost that inspired holy men of God to write the Bible is the same Holy Ghost who lives inside me and is my Teacher. The King James Bible is the most accurate English translation because it was translated from the Textus Receptus, Latin for "Received Text." The King James Bible is perfect, inspired, infallible, inerrant, and preserved word of God for English-speaking people. The NIV, NKJV, ESV, NASB, MSG, CSB, and others were translated from a corrupt text.

Am I the only one who couldn’t care less what the Vatican thinks about U.S. foreign policy? Seriously—why should it carry any weight here? Who’s with me?

Sure he has, in the flattened Latin vulgate which in Jerome's own words he removed the "Jewishness" to make it more palatable to the Greco-Roman world. Just look at the Greek translations, and use any AI tool to look through the LXX and Kione Greek and ask it how many pagan little g god/goddess names are used in the various scriptures. Tell me how many thousands of times those names where used in lieu of Semitic terms!? Then figure out what words they replaced and what their real meanings are ... take Emunah in Hebrew for example, what replaced it? Then go do any basic Greek mythology digging and tell me if that word was a Greek goddess.

God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of #Peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialogue among peoples.

« Saving Israel for last »… vous comprenez maintenant ? @KAGdrogo

The biggest issue is how the Greek word Pistis (Strong's•G4102), which just happens to be a Greek goddess who was in pandoras jar. Flattened the original Hebraic word Emunah. When you replace everywhere in both the OT and NT (which was written in Hebrew not Greek - another topic all together, as proof is now coming out) word in English "faith" back to its proper Emunah [covenantal action word meaning trust, loyalty & obedience THROUGH action] then Matthew 7:18-23, James 2 and hosts of other verses begin to make sense and paradoxes disappear. But I digress folks aren't ready for this conversation. Why you might ask? The hardest thing for human psychology is to allow oneself to admit they have been led astray, it's easier to believe the lie.

This is what pure eisegesis looks like. Folks ask me often about Mark 16:16 where does it say "if you don't get baptized, you won't be saved". Here is your answer. John 3:36. But this guy can't accept that obedience is necessary for salvation so he collapses obedience into just believing. Yet this is an important admission here. He is admitting that faith itself is obedience, which makes faith a work according to their definitions since any obedience is work. This fits with what Jesus said in John 6:28-29 that the work of God (not work BY God) that we should do is to believe on the One whom God sent. If I can obey by believing and it be necessary, then why cannot I obey from the heart by being baptized and it be necessary (Romans 6:17-18)?

In John 3:36, does "Obey the Son" = Works?
