@JBradshaw01 I’m going into my 18th year of teaching kinder. It is astounding how UNDER FUNDED the classroom is. We can go through 1-2 Kleenex boxes a day with all the illnesses in the class. Glue sticks, parent gifts during holidays etc. this year I am saying no, I can’t keep doing this.

Lots of replies about how this is normal and reasonable, but why is it normalized for parents (or teachers) to have to personally fund classrooms? This seems like a systemic failure and a major equity issue to me.
