The most popular cycle bottom indicator being used is Weekly RSI. Simply put, it's oversold, and other times that's happened were the cycle bottom. So what's the difference this time? Why wouldn't the bottom be in? Most RSI time frames show that Bitcoin failed to reach cycle top levels, as did many other indicators. Take 22 day RSI for example, which has a hyper-accurate channel for cycle tops and bottoms. No cycle top triggers last cycle. About 10 points off at its highest. Now it's at a place that would usually be the precise bottom. But if there's weakening at the top end, it opens the door for weakening at the lower end and the channel to break. Be careful of the "always" metrics. Prior accuracy does not imply future accuracy, and a lot of the time intuition is required.

15/x A New Dimension In The Great Game Of “Intelligent Capital Allocation” The Traditional Finance “Bible of Capital Allocation”, if there is one, is my friend Will Thondike’s “The Outsiders”. The “Digital” version of it is arguably being written as we speak, right in front of our eyes. Against a backdrop of BTC delivering ~10x returns since MSTR announced its first corporate BTC purchase ~5 years ago, the stock has delivered ~27x - effectively outperforming NVIDIA in the AI boom! Key to understand is that “only” ~⅓ of the shareholder returns here can be attributed to the performance of the underlying spot asset, while ~⅔ can be attributed to intelligent capital allocation. The latter being the most important factor in long-term compound shareholder returns also in Traditional Finance, as concluded by “The Outsiders”. In its simplest form, the listed “Digital Asset Treasury” (“DAT”) company can dramatically outperform the spot asset (at least against a positive market backdrop, and with more volatility, of course) if the DAT can deliver fast compound growth in NAV/share. The simplest way to do so, is to issue common equity at a premium to NAV, and to accumulate coins at NAV. This seems counterintuitive as traditional finance associates share issuance with dilution - but it is actually accretion. Run the numbers. The same math works if and when listed DAT companies are trading below NAV. As they can use spare cash to buy back their stock. The result grows NAV/share. I would be remiss not to mention the the opposite should also be true. In a bear market, logic would have it, the DAT stock might well underperform the spot asset, and DAT stocks might well trade at steep discounts to NAV until the dislocation is over. To avoid ever becoming a forced seller of precious coins, the prepared mind should follow at least three golden rules: i) no hard financial leverage ii) strong revenues (e.g. staking) & tight cash cost management, resulting in ideally positive cash flow iii) healthy cash buffer - especially when the cycle starts showing signs of froth In future posts I endeavor to share further thoughts on a potential 'bear market survival kit'.

Yesterday, I made the decision to sell all of my Bitcoin and Altcoins as I feel data has grown exhausted, which has shifted my perspective from bullish to bearish. I sold my Bitcoin at $112,596.64 I sold my Ethereum at $4,500.82 I have been holding both coins from these prices since November 2022 with no buys or sales in between: Bitcoin: $16,558.55 Ethereum: $1,196.79 I believe the cycle top has already occurred as of August 2025 at 124k. This won't be a popular opinion, just as it wasn't when I did the same thing in April 2021. Will it be right? I have no idea. I am content with my decision and happy with my profits. This probably feels like the most boring cycle ever. But that's not just a feeling, it's a fact! Bitcoin has entered critically low volatility on historical volatility more times than any other cycle. No cycle has visited critically low volatility at ATHs. But this boring is good. All moves to low volatility here have been bullish, no exceptions. There have also been no moves to high volatility this entire cycle, not even close. Everything about this screams potential!

Another patience tester moment as Bitcoin grinds away around 116k. Daily closes holding above level 3 on the Magic Bands. Cycle Top band now at $160,200. These are the moments that get us to the 10k+ candles!
