@British_Airways I’m on BA8945 from LCY to BER tonight. Just saw it’s delayed until after midnight which is beyond the curfews at the airports. Do you know what’s happening and why it’s delayed so long?

@jmaskell 100% this! You're only going to the doctor once things have gotten completely unmanageable. Then you're told it's two years till you can have any help?

Oh, sounds like this will be totally fair and balanced🙄 I was diagnosed with ADHD privately after being put on a 2+ year waitlist on the NHS. The only scandal is how chronically underfunded mental health services are in the UK. Where's the reporting on that @BBCPanorama?

@phillipcaudell Also that people with ADHD will procrastinate on asking for help, often co-exists with anxiety, trauma etc. So the NHS waiting list is once you're over those hurdles. Sensationalising it will just put more people off seeking help.

The reality is, ADHD is hugely undiagnosed in the UK. About 1.5 million adults have it, but only 120,000 are diagnosed. We make the process so difficult and hostile, most people give up. Some NHS trusts are now even refusing to refer people for assessments. THAT'S the scandal.

Running a company: 2020: can you survive a pandemic? 2021: still here? we’re going to give all of your competitors $100m series A rounds. 2022: wow, you made it? okay, all engineers cost $600,000/year now. 2023: nice job! okay, we’re going to take away your bank account.

@justdt__ Definitely. They should have gone down the subscription route years ago. So many people who depend on this for their income and would pay good money.

@justdt__ The problem isn’t the ads - it’s lack of scale. To both attract the advertisers and make the ad targeting work. Twitter is too niche and they missed the boat on videos, messaging etc.

@justdt__ Would obvs depend on the deposit, LTV etc. But similar point - you are choosing to prioritise the investment at your tenant's expense.

@justdt__ Well, you could sell the flat to a first time buyer who could take out a 30 year mortgage with lower repayments.

@yourolly We have Humanscale chairs in the office and I really like them. Prefer to the Aeron we have at home.

who makes good office chairs these days? ideally ones that don't make me look like I'm a twitch streamer or like I'm in a pivotelli sales office in the 90s

@jamesjgill Very relatable. I think the secret is to take schedule breaks and take them before you feel the need for one…

I have five more invite codes for Arc Browser. I've been REALLY enjoying using it and think it brings some really clever ideas to web browsing. Mac only, first 5 come first 5 served arc.net/gift/2366c214

@GergelyOrosz @huima Have seen this a lot with Zoom and Meet. Meet got so much better that it’s hard to justify paying for Zoom.

@huima Yeah which means GSheets will be a constant threat to their business. There’s no real justification paying for both GSheets and Airtable if/when GSheets offers a “good enough” Airtable functionality. Airtable needs to keep differentiating and solve for more niche use cases.

Google Sheets is the new Excel. If you're building an online business-related tool, a competition you'll need to do better than is "using a Google Sheet to get the same thing done." Keep being surprised at how many custom-built tools can't pass that test for lots of people.

My first month as a solopreneur has gone better than I was expecting. Revenue: £2,030 Costs: ~£250 Income streams: 2 Alarms set: 0 I'm taking that as a signal that there's actual demand. So December is "Learn marketing" month 😅

@kylesoo I did some research on switching network recently and the consensus seems to be that you need to be on EE or Vodafone (or one of their MVNOs) if you live in a city…

The @O2 signal coverage in Manchester is so poor. I’m fairly sure I’d have more connectivity with two cups and a piece of string.
