Found this and the ensuing discussion very interesting so I ran it against some of the areas of a hitter’s zone I use for bad decision rate (baseballprospectus.com/news/article/7…). Turns out being opportunistic in a hitter’s hot zone correlated moderately well with contact quality:

🎵Should I Stay or Should I Go🎵 - not only a great song but also the theme of my @SMTlive Data Challenge project. I created a model to evaluate baserunning decisions of advancing 2 bases rather than stopping after just 1. Excited to present at #UCSAS22 next week as a Finalist!
